Although I was raised in the hood and still reside in one, I find it sad that all that can be said on the hood that it's all bad. That is far from the truth. Granted bad things do happen in the hood, but why not speak on the good as well? The last book these ladies wrote Desperate Hoodwives, I was like, WE ALL don't end up dead or in trouble. We do try to live good lives and see our way out but for now, this is the best we can do.
Believe it or not these things that happens in the story do happen to all people of colors. It's call no color lines.
