"Damn" he said he created a storm of energy orbs and tossed them at the zombies

((Once I got to school, not so bad. I was permitted to annoy my friend in her math class, and I played video games with another friend during physics xD 7 people apparently don't count as a real class))

A few of the zombies grabbed at his ankles and pulled him down the side of the building.

He chopped the zombies head off. And did a barrel roll onto the ground.

((It was the same math teacher I had last semester, and she didn't mind.))

Even the head grew back.

"This doesn't look too good for our fearless hero," Mayu's head said as it appeared next to him.

"Not you again" he sighed "I had this handled" he explained he blasted a zombie with an energy blast

She grinned. "Prove it then. This is something even I doubt anyone could handle alone though."

The bits that scattered made the one zombie multiply into ten. "Join us!" they moaned.

The zombies surrounded him.

He jumped and kicked on in the face. And be shot an orb at another

Whenever they splattered, another army formed.

He couldn't believe he had to resort to this, he sheated his sword and stepped firmly on the ground he twisted his ankles and a huge crack formed in the earth making a couple of zomibes fall in he shut the crack "Who's next?" he asked

And then from the earth, zombies started to sprout like seedlings.

Mayu studied them. "Appear that it really has reawakened. This will mess up the schedule."

He jumped up and slamed onto the ground and a shockwave shot from where he stood

Even as the ground trembled, the zombies still came at him.

Mayu shouted, "RETREAT! Kentaro, retreat!"

Kentaro looked at Mayu, he ran back to her "What?" he asked

"You can't win, idiot!" She sighed heavily. "You need an ancient power to defeat these things."

((I can get on during this time! I miss all my friends lol, and I have a job with a cool boss, and that's where I am at right now, so I just usually go on the computer))

He nodded "What do we do then?" he asked

When they finally got out of the dead zone, she hushed their running. "They can't get us here for now."

((Ah, that explains it. xD I was always wondering why you stayed up until around 2 in the morning, but i guess it was only around midnight for you.))

She didn't say anything, just looked at him harshly.

((I just got an acceptance letter for a camp I really wanted to go to. It's the anticipation and the worrying that'dve lifted. I managed to jump 4 feet into the air earlier.))

"You really coulda joined them. In fact, with your attitude, I wonder why your heart didn't turn."

((An arts camp that our school board runs. I'm gone for a full week at the end of May. Right before my exams... gah. Oh well xD))

"Those zombies - they used to be humans. But a strange power, an ancient power, turned their hearts and made them into those things. You can turn them back if they're not too far gone, but a lot of them will stay that way - servants of the dark power - for all eternity.

"The power can only turn the hearts of those people with how you say... a chip on their shoulder... or if the heart is in dispair or sorrow, or guilt, or anything like that. Or if you happen to be one of those seven deadly sin things."

((xD you sound like my best friends. Both of them study like mad for I'm not quite sure what reason. One of them is really smart without common sense, and the other has common sense but not the grades...))

She poked and prodded. "I'm pretty sure you're still a human the last time I checked. Which I why I'm wondering how you didn't get affected - like you're immune to the power or something."

"If memory serves me correctly, then we must find old Alloet, he sealed Duegarde last time."
