3. The Blood CountessLike a lot of books written bouncing between two interesting storylines, the historical one about Elizabeth Bathory was by far the most interesting and I sped through this book to read all about her. Loved those parts, especially since my dad is Hungarian.
4. Blood BrothersRead this for a class and did NOT like it. Formulaic and unsurprising but for Nora Roberts fans probably a a favorite.
5. Notes from Nethers: Growing Up In A Sixties CommuneAnother book for my RA class, really interesting and intensely honest. Interesting and not at all expected.
8. Water for ElephantsAmazing book. I loved the circus descriptions and it broke my heart as to the treatment of the elephants and other animals (as well as the humans). Beautiful.
9. The Weed That Strings the Hangman's BagGreat follow up to the first in the series. I really enjoyed it.
10. Veganist: Lose Weight, Get Healthy, Change the WorldI'm thinking about going vegan and I thought this book would help me. STill having trouble giving up the cheese!
11. How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will TalkI have a five and two year old. 'Nuff said.

18. A Red Herring Without Mustard: A Flavia de Luce NovelGood continuation of the series...not as great as the first one.

Recommended to me by a YA librarian. Loved it! If you like mysteries and young spunky protagonists, you will love this.
