No worries Loretta! I hope things calm down for you! We will keep on reading, and we eagerly await your return!
Loretta wrote: "Work has gotten crazy (e.g. 12-15 hour days every day)."Well, gee, allowing 4 hours for sleep, 30 minutes a day to make sandwiches to eat while you read, and 30 minute for dressing and other personal needs, that leaves, at least 2 hours a day for Vanity Fair and 2 hours for LOTR. I mean, where are your priorities??
[jk, of course, I sure hope that came through!]
... and we're back to our regularly scheduled programming. LOL. The crazy times aren't TOTALLY over, but I think I'll be able to breathe at least a little bt this week. Working really hard on catching up on LOTR. Thanks for understanding, everyone.
Does that mean you're available to post the discussion thread for the next section of Vanity Fair? I have a few things to say!
Haha, sadly, no. I'm not moderating that one. (I haven't even started it... need to catch up on LOTR first, though I imagine I'll start next weekend.)

I just wanted to pop in for a moment to explain my complete lack of participation in discussions over the past week. Work has gotten crazy (e.g. 12-15 hour days every day). I'm sorry if this has put a damper on the C&P or LOTR discussions.
Please, please do not feel the need to slow down discussion because I am not around. I know there are still active readers for both (and threads are open), so go ahead and read/discuss. I should be able to squeeze some reading time in over the weekend, and things should lighten up a bit by the end of next week.
Thanks for your understanding.
Kristi, Andrea: please delete this thread after you think the C&P and LOTR readers have had a chance to look it over. I don't want to clutter up the main page. :)
