And when someone follows you, follow them back. So when you follow the user above you: notify them (reply to their comment, message them, whatever) so they can follow you back.
For example:
User 1 - [insert url/button here] ser 2 -U *follows user 1's blog* [insert your own url/button]
For example:
User 1 - [insert url/button here]
ser 2 -U *follows user 1's blog* [insert your own url/button]
