K.J. Jacobs | 2 comments This book is a story of the miracles that God has done in my adult life. When I was 22, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and since then I have been diagnosed with seven more chronic illnesses. In 2004, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have been cancer free since then. I have gone through two failed marriages, and the heart of my third and final husband was MIRACULOUSLY changed by God! I want to show everyone that He is still in the miracle business, if we trust in Him. This is a journey of my faith for the last 33 years. I am a living breathing miracle! K.J. Jacobs

Sounds like a great book! I have also been thru hard times but not as rough as you have. I have had asthma most all my life and pneumonia due to the asthma, then I caught CFIDS which is more common in asthmatics. Its an UNrecognized illness for the most part due to the CDC (Oslers Web). I also wanted to write an expose about our horrible military care for dependents here in this country but have never done it.
Glad the Lord sent your miracles. I got one too when I found an Environmental Illness Dr.

K.J. Jacobs | 2 comments I appreciate your comments Alice. Yes, I too can relate to military care for dependents. My husband is retired Coast Guard. I have to go 100 miles away to find ANY orthopedic doctor. There are some perks, but I'm not sure they outweigh the problems. Nanikj

David (davidjburrows) | 2 comments I wrote The Prophecy of the Kings for the main reason that some years ago I read Lord of the Rings. Having thoroughly enjoyed that I was disappointed to find that there were very few other books in the vein. I wanted to read more of this genre and so wrote my own novel. It was going to be one book but as they say, the tale grew in the telling. There are som eother good authors in this genre now but Tolkien has yet to be bettered!!

Nduka (onwuegbute) In today's world we measure our success by how much we have in the bank, our share portfolio and sometimes the level of academic attainment. People of the Niger Delta, (18th Century Nigeria), had a different outlook on life. How free they were to walk in their hometown/village was paramount.

Since Masters of the Confluence is all about freedom and liberty, I just thought I should illustrate (by means of photography) how the prevalent African Chiefs valued the lives of supposed dissidents.

Two guns = One boy/girl of approx 12 - 18 years old.
What crime did one commit to be a dissident? Some of you would like to know, I bet.

The mere disagreement with a political opinion was enough to get someone or his/her family in troubled waters (irony).

And for that, this is a picture of what the chief/ruler would get...
Flintlock {Picture: 18th century flintlock. Two guns, such as this one, was enough for the colonial overlords to demand for a human life}.

Of course the Africans lost both ways. First they lost their freedom, and when they resisted, were simply shot dead by the same guns, even by fellow Africans.

Success, therefore, was a matter of that ultimate ability to wangle one's way through the maze of political duplicity without coming out at the other side of the Atlantic.

My opinion of what is "shameless self promotion" is explained in another thread but this thread's topic is about impressions. Advertising your product requires having impressions made. However having an impression made is much different than making an impression and it doesn't guarantee someone that clicked on your Ad will purchase; it only means they have interest. Unfortunately you are doubled taxed. Double taxed because of a sales tax and a cost per click. The following information tells you where to go.

The internet is definitely a formidable form of marketing that is gaining much more use. Facebook and Twitter are only two names of social media that has vast global coverage. Everybody wants to use these “venues” to make Ads that promote their product. Logic or common sense tells one that part of this form of marketing includes large numbers of continuous impressions. However, many times you have to “pay per click.” Think of it as paying an additional tax on whatever product you are trying to promote, but because the individual “clicked” (shows interest) it doesn’t mean that they will follow through and buy instantly. I was fortunate to “stumble” onto a new service offered by Wpromote that doesn’t charge per click. I was skeptical but it was soon changed as I was easily able to contact a person both by phone and email. The key is that you have a one time payment for your choice of level advertising (minimal-very aggressive), demographic, and Ad preferred. For those that have further interest go to my site www.getting-therebook.com and click on their banner that’s within my page to get more info and/or started.

M.D. Birmingham (mdbirmingham) | 4 comments “Progress…”
All of us are in favor of "progress" in one form or another, despite whatever our life stage level may be. "Progress" can be seen in multiple forms in life's varying aspects. We are all "Getting There..." and that process has differing perspectives attributed with it depending on the circumstance approached; some negative, indifferent, and positive. Our "Getting There..." is discriminatorily labeled as "aging" which isn't usually associated in a positive perspective. However, when we "accept" it with humility and respect, "Your" day begins when you have humility for time and acceptance of other humans!”

Our time durations of life do/will definitely vary individually. ‎"Quality" brings quantity but "quantity" doesn't bring quality." The ability to be given the undeserving "simple complexity" of "Love" that grants a culmination of "moments" to reflect upon as "memories" is better labeled as "progress." We have different desires and wants but we all have fundamental "needs." "Happiness," "Love," and "Hope" are life's fundamental "needs" that we share globally in a prioritized perspective as we "progress."
Selflessly,

The "less self" the more great our lives will be individually and collectively. ©

Manickam Nambi | 1 comments My experience with God 1 seem to be devoid of miracles but yet my faith keeps being strengthened.I do not know how this happens but it does.
When was an entering my teens I chose not to believe in God.I was reacting to what was going around me.On the rebound I became a sworn atheist and Marxist.I left home to become a professional revolutionary at the age of 19.My father always believed that I would serve God 1.
On 1990 I returned home at the age of 32 trying to come to terms with the battering life gave me.
As a good student of philosophy I had always worked with two categories.
All of a sudden in a movement of inspired wisdom I wrote the thesis 2= 1. Among other things the thesis had an explanation of the Cross."The Holy Cross respectfully is made up of the Father and Son.When the Father and Son do not come together The Cross does not exist when the Father and Son come together There is the Father There is the Son and the unmanifest principle (Holy Ghost)The Cross manifests itself."
All of a sudden I believed in God 1.
My trust with faith was as tumultuous as my days without faith. My knowledge kept ascending till a point that I discovered the existence of two Times and the state existence of the Cosmos worked out the inherent unity in the Holy Scriptures and then decided it must be shared with mankind. So I wrote my work "The End of Knowledge-A reduction of philosophy".
I am still struggling and though yet out of the woods,my faith in God 1 keeps growing.God 1 is too intelligent.
GOD 1 can induce faith with or without miracles.
