I have my new computer up and working. It's going to take me some time to get used to my new computer though.

I HATE getting a new computer! You don't realize how much software you own and have downloaded until you have to re-install it. But I always clean things out at this time too.
You do always have so much to do when you first get a new computer. I'm fortunate in that my dad is a computer consultant so he does everything for me, and teaches me along the way - otherwise I might be rather lost!
My dad is a computer technician, so he was able to do things for me that I wouldn't know how to do. He made a restore disc for me. We have Avast virus protection on it. It is overwhelming, but I'm glad it works with the internet without being slow. It's working great. I can't believe I really bought a computer. Truth is, it's my first computer since all the others were ones passed down to me and majorly old.
Same, all of my computers prior to the laptop I got for university were passed down by relatives or my dad's clients. I use Norton Anti-Virus which works really well, although I'm glad my dad bought it for me as it's a bit out of my price-range!I should really make a restore disk, I'm rubbish at backing all my documents up. I guess it's because my computer has never had anything major go wrong on it so I'm not worried about losing stuff, but I should really make sure I back things up regularly.
