Which characters honestly care about Romeo? How can you tell? OR, Which characters honestly care about Juliet? How can you tell?

Jacob Malamed | 11 comments I think the only person that cares about both Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence. He wants them to live together happily. Even though he is doing this because he thinks this will unite both families, he is still helping them. I think Juliet's parents do care about her. I think that if they knew that Juliet loved Romeo that much, they would change. They care about her but I think they want what, in their opinion is best. I think the nurse also cares about Juliet like her parents but thinks marrying Paris is best. They should listen to what she wants. If they listened in the beginning then it would of all been good and there wouldn't of been conflict.

Guy | 11 comments I think that the only person that honestly cares about Romeo in Acts 3 and 4 is Friar Lawrence. I think this because he is the only one who actually tries to help Romeo get back together with Juliet. Then again, Friar Lawrence is the only person that knows; if Romeo had the guts to make it public that he was married to Juliet, this story could have been much happier.

Charleston | 10 comments I think that the only person still alive who actually cares about both Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence. Their parents' don't really care about them. Juliet's parents only want her to marry Paris so they'll have connections, and Romeo's parents don't really care about him. The Nurse wants her to marry Paris like her parents. But Friar Lawrence actually takes both their feelings into regard and helps them both try to escape their families.

Hannah | 10 comments I think Friar Lawrence cares about both Romeo and Juliet. He is going through so much unnecessary trouble to keep them together. The Capulets really care about Juliet; and so does the Nurse. If the nurse didn't care about her, i don't think she would go through all that trouble of getting to Romeo and giving him the messages.

John M. | 9 comments i feel the honely charicters who honstely care about Romea and Juliet. he is the only one who cares about both. each family cares about there own person(capulets care about Juliet and Montiques care about romeo) while beside that there really isent to many other people who care about them.

Andrew Mankovsky | 12 comments Friar Lawrence truly cares about Romeo. Even though no one pays attention to it, the Nurse also cares for him even though Romeo is a Montague. She tried kept the marriage a secret, and did anything they asked. Romeo's friends also truly care about him, by always being there for him.

Eunsol Baek | 8 comments For Romeo, I think his parents, his friends, Friar Lawrence, and Juliet all cares for him. There aren't much about his parents but I know they care for him. Also, his friends are always cheering him up, and Friar Lawrence basically scrifice his time and life for the marriage of Romeo and Juliet. People who care for Juliet are her parents, her Nurse, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo. Her parents love her, and tries to find the best way for her, but sometimes misunderstands what's best for Juliet, and express their feelings in harsh ways. However, fights are made between Juliet and her parents because they care for her. Also, although Nurse seems inconsiderate or ignorant, she knows Juliet the most, and cares for her as if she was her dauther. Friar Lawrence again shows his care by working so hard for Juliet's happy ending with Romeo.

William K | 9 comments One character in the play who i think really cares about Romeo besides Juliet, is Benvolio. Without him being there when Romeo killed Tybalt, surely Romeo would have been killed. And we can't forget about Juliet who is willing to take a chance with the sleeping potion, knowing it could kill her if the Friar messed up the bottles. Who is willing to take a chance to be with Romeo. Benvolio and Juliet are really the only two who i think really care for Romeo.

message 10: by Jason (new)

Jason V | 10 comments In Acts 3 and 4, one of the characters that cares about Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence. He sees that Juliet loves Romeo and would do anything for him, and that Romeo feels the same way about Juliet. He shows that he cares about both of them because he was willing to risk his own position as Friar by helping them to evade their families wishes and plans. He is the one who came up with the plan for Juliet to take the sleeping potion and fake her death.

Joseph Choi | 6 comments the people who care about romeo and juliet are the people who are the closest friar lawrence cares about romeo and juliet. he is the one who got them married he gave romeo a reason not to kill himself. he gave juliet a reason to live to. he helped them get together even though it didnt work out so well. if it wasnt for friar lawerence there would be no romeo and juliet. he is part of the key equation that makes this story possible.

Jessica W | 2 comments I think the people who care mostly for Romeo, is the Friar and I also think Mercutio (before he died). If you really think about who is involved in Romeo's life, no one really is, except a few people and Juliet. Where are his parents? His siblings? we don't know much about Romeo's life and personal life. For Juliet's case, i think the nurse really cares about her and the prince. Her father doesn't. He says that if she doesn't marry Paris, he will ban her from the family. What type of father does that!!!??? The life that Romeo and Juliet have, is not very plesant. They are both living in this horrible conflict, with another family, when Romeo and/or Juliet had nothing to do with it.
