I'd be inclined to say no, it's not a valid NAB. How can a title be copyrighted? Titles are repeated all the time.
It can be bought from Amazon & Barnes & Noble have it listed but unavailable. Book Depository is sold out and referring to Abebooks which has copies for sale.I don't think it should be nabbed at all.
For me it says format: book. For some reason it is titled "Not a book" though. Judging by the covers the book is called Unmasked and the ebook is called Unmasking Zorro...How can there be a copyright issue?
If you look at the librarian change log the author mentions a copyright issue.
Well it says there to change the title to Unmasked:"Darah said: This book has been removed from the publisher due to copyright issues regarding the name Zorro. Please remove this book or leave the changes. title: 'Unmasking Zorro' to 'Unmasked'"
I guess it should be called Unmasked instead of Not a book then.
It might not copyright issues, but trademark issues. If so, it might make sense. Unless for satirical purposes or criticism or something.
OK, I changed both of the editions' titles to "Unmasked". That is what is on the cover on each edition as well.Regardless of copyright/trademark issue, it certainly is a book, and it was published. If people own it, they have a right to shelve it here at GR - we're not selling it, after all. Unless TPTB need to remove it for legal reasons, I think it should stay.
I added librarian's notes to the description of the book and returned it to the author's page, as well.
Thanks. If a book exists, it exists, and it ought to be a part of the database. If there are extant copies out there, there's nothing the publisher can do to pretend they aren't out there.In my opinion the title should remain what is on the cover, as that was the published title and we can all see it with our eyes. If the publisher wanted to, they could always reissue it with a corrected title.
Correction: I see one cover says "Unmasked" and the other says "Unmasking Zorro." I still maintain that each edition's title, in the database, should reflect what's on the cover.

I agree with Lobstergirl. If the book's cover says that's the title, that's the title. There's nothing we can do about the publisher not checking trademark/copyright on Zorro.

Except it was a Kindle edition, was never actually sold under the original title, and is no longer listed on Amazon.
It has now been deleted from the GR database.
Looks better now. Originally both editions were listed as "Not a Book".
This book has been nabbed apparently because there was a copyright issue with the title. Is this valid?
