Is there a way to sort "MY BOOKS" by GENRE and then group by author? I just moved all my book cases upstairs and would LOVE to have a list to help organize my books!

well, I found out there is no way to do it other then make a shelf fir each genre and then manual place books on their shelf. Not bothering with that. LOL...I did get the non-fiction up on the shelves so far. The fiction however, is going to take allllll day.
yes, I did the same thing but after a 100 books or so I started adding shelves as I added books otherwise I would have just chucked it.
When you add books, don't you them into genres? I can click on my Horror shelf, and then click on Author, and it puts them in alphabetical author. But I'm probably not understanding what you need.
nope. my shelves are READ, To-READ, Wishlist, and recommended for Sis.Yep, I am THAT lazy.
LOL. You poor thing. My to-read shelves used to be just that, but I went back and added genres, and I make sure to add genres whenever I add a new one now.
I am SLOWLY adding genres and sorting books, but now that I am moving and will be packing up my books in two weeks all of this will be on hold.
I have this many to go[image error]
and 2 big boxes still downstairs.......
You should be able to export your list to an excel file. You can sort any way you want from excel.
when you guys have duplicate copies, how do you decide which to keep?I keep leaning toward better jacket/condition of book, but seems I read online you should NEVER get rid of a first run, no matter the condition. I've got about 4 King books I cant make up my mind on. :(
Unless they're very early novels it doesn't really matter.

I agree with Erica....I would keep them all or MAYBE give one to my best friend.I did not know I could export to excel.....I may have to try that!
