Bunny (bunnycates) | 93 comments Is there a way to sort "MY BOOKS" by GENRE and then group by author? I just moved all my book cases upstairs and would LOVE to have a list to help organize my books!

Bunny (bunnycates) | 93 comments well, I found out there is no way to do it other then make a shelf fir each genre and then manual place books on their shelf. Not bothering with that. LOL...

I did get the non-fiction up on the shelves so far. The fiction however, is going to take allllll day.

Paul Hollis | 303 comments yes, I did the same thing but after a 100 books or so I started adding shelves as I added books otherwise I would have just chucked it.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments When you add books, don't you them into genres? I can click on my Horror shelf, and then click on Author, and it puts them in alphabetical author. But I'm probably not understanding what you need.

Bunny (bunnycates) | 93 comments nope. my shelves are READ, To-READ, Wishlist, and recommended for Sis.

Yep, I am THAT lazy.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments LOL. You poor thing. My to-read shelves used to be just that, but I went back and added genres, and I make sure to add genres whenever I add a new one now.

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) | 2035 comments I am SLOWLY adding genres and sorting books, but now that I am moving and will be packing up my books in two weeks all of this will be on hold.

Kristy (kristabela) | 121 comments You should be able to export your list to an excel file. You can sort any way you want from excel.

Bunny (bunnycates) | 93 comments when you guys have duplicate copies, how do you decide which to keep?

I keep leaning toward better jacket/condition of book, but seems I read online you should NEVER get rid of a first run, no matter the condition. I've got about 4 King books I cant make up my mind on. :(

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) | 2035 comments I agree with Erica....I would keep them all or MAYBE give one to my best friend.

I did not know I could export to excel.....I may have to try that!
