Sandi I have a special edition copy of a collection of dramas by Goethe. I looked for the isbn on goodreads and it gave me this:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...

Definitely not Goethe. Now my book only has the same isbn-10, I can't find an isbn-13 in my book. What should I do? I was going to manually add my drama collection and delete the isbn-10 of the kids book, because I don't think I can add another book with the same isbn. Or should I add my book without an isbn at all and just make a note that the isbn is already used for a different book? Before I mess up I thought I'd ask first...

This is correct. You should never remove a correct ISBN from a book here. Please!

It is unfortunate that publishers sometimes re-use ISBNs, but it is nonetheless true. And the only reason your book lacks an ISBN-13 is because in 1996, no one had started using them yet.

Sandi Ah well that explains it, since my book is from 1996. Thank you!
