Sherman Alexie describes this novel as a mystery, eulogy, and ceremony--- what are you thoughts?

1luvbooks Hmm... I liked this book a lot at first, the first time I read it. Every time I read it now- I like it a little less. It`s depressing, and, sure, it`s a cool writing method, but honestly, the characters were...so so. I was waiting for...well, I don`t even know what. I did like this book, but, for suicide survivor ya, I`ll take Hold Still anyday- now, there`s a beautiful book.
Thirteen Reasons Why is okay. Just not beautiful.

Yassemin I wouldn't say it was a mystery really. We are aware at the outset what has happened to the main character, we are just left to find out the bits in between. I don't know what I would describe this book as, maybe suspense?

Shwetika Well the book is really nice and I think it was a nice way to teach teens that some of their stupid rhomours can effect other person very badly ... But committing suicide over such a reasons is too big (huge) step .. I would have liked it better if she would have deal with them in a efficient manner and I think she should have talked to Jay and made a better life for herself
