Based on Colin's own definition of prodigy and genius, which one is Colin? If he is a genius, then explain what he has shed new light on for the first time that the rest of us didn't already know--- **Go back over his definitions

Elizabeth Colin refers to himself as a prodigy, not a genius. Based on the definition of both terms, I agree with Colin. He is a prodigy. However, the I.Q. test used to determine genius indicates he his both, based on his score given in the book.

Jennae Jennae Smith I think that it's difficult to define what being a genius is. Maybe Colin didn't cure a fatal disease, discover how humans can live on Mars or even create a formula that can predict the patterns of relationships. He did however discover that everything, even the tiny little things we do, slowly make an impact in the world.

No genius that has done something utterly extraordinary has had nothing. They never had absolutely no knowledge. They built on the knowledge of those who came before them.

Not to disregard the people who have done truly remarkable things in our history, but every human being that has ever lived has made an impact to the world we live in today. So based on that, it is debatable that we are all geniuses.
