BSP 74: Olaf Sporns and Networks of the Brain

Dr. Olaf Sporns has just agreed to come on the Brain Science Podcast to talk about his new book Networks of the Brain. This is a very challenging book that will appeal especially to engineers and mathmaticians, but I think that the interview will convince most listeners that this is an important area of brain research.

It is likely that this interview will come out in May. I still don't know when I will interview ANTONIO DAMASIO.

Ginger, that's great news - looking forward to it and hopefully it will motivate me to read the book before then. I am training to be a clinical neuropsychologist and for the research component of my degree am looking at brain networks in stroke recovery. This is a fascinating and fast-growing area with important applications to our understanding of healthy and pathological brain functioning. Thanks for all your work with the podcast, I really enjoy it and find it useful / interesting from both personal and professional viewpoints.
