Maybe its that dumb Seelie Queen talking to Clary. She always seems to make Clary feel her worst when it comes to Jace but it sounds like they might be helping so...I think maybe its someone talking to Jace about Sebastian...I don't know there are so many possibilities.

Ooh the Seelie Queen is a good guess. I hated her so much in CoFA. It was like, what's your freaking problem... Idk I'm pretty sure they're talking about Jace. And I have a feeling the person is talking to Clary, but obviously it could be anyone.
Its like listening to one side of a phone call! So frustrating and confusing!
Seelie queen is an awesome guess...what if it's someone from the ID series?
I haven't read those.Maybe its Camille talking to Magnus about Alec because Alec is worried about Magnus being immortal while he is not? Wasn't Magnus and Alec discussing the possibilities of Alec becoming immortal to be with him?
Cassie said it's from CoLS. Okay so clearly any and all guesses are more than possible, but my new theory is the Seelie Queen talking to Clary about Jace. that one actually makes sense, and seems likely. (remember the bell?!)

Yep! and it's to get help or a favor or whatever. "What are you saving him from?" Like she's trying to save Jace with the help of the Seelie Queen (bad idea, right there).
Oh yeah! I would never ask for a favor from the Seelie Queen. She likes to play games. But if Clary was desperate enough she would.
Yeah the bell would never have been introduced if Clary doesn't use it. I'm sure the Queen will help in some way...but it'll just cause more trouble. Probably some fun drama though.

I believe that the only way that clary would use the bell is to save jace so I really think that this line is from the Seelie queen to clary. that seems to make the most sense. I hope we figured this out. it would be nice to be ahead of the game for once! :)
My thoughts exactly. It almost never turns out to be how I think, but I'm pretty confident on this one ;) (interesting how much we gathered up, just from that very elusive line.)

it could be tessa talkin to clary. but it has to be jace they aee talkin about cuz hes the only one in need of saving. an if membered correctly tessas is CoG.

It doesn't necessarly say it's tessa, we all just assume is her since she seems to resemble the description.

I would LOVE to see Tessa really come into MI, that'd be so cool. Okay so I have this theory...
Cassie says there is a reason the last names Gray and Fray are so similar. And for the fact that Clary thought Tessa looked familiar. I think Jocelyn knows Tessa, through Magnus. And Clary had met her before, but had her memories erased. Fray is a made up name, so Jocelyn got it from Gray. I also think Clary (through Jocelyn, not Valentine) is descended from Henry and Charlotte. And Tessa knew them, so that'd explain wanting a connection with Jocelyn.

It's at the end of CoG, idk the page. But in Idris at the party outside, Clary sees Magnus talking to Tessa and they sort of met eyes, and she looked familiar, but then Clary turned away and that was that.

wait, but how would the shadowhunter blood thing work? I don't get it.
shadow hunter mates with human. runs down the family line. then tessas mom is tricked into sleepin with a demon. thus tessa. warlock shadowhunter!!
Sorry I'm just feeling really slow today. A shadowhunter and a human hook up...but Jem said that shadowhunter blood is dominant. wouldnt the family all just be shadowhunters?
if it was only one shadowhunter an then just humans, I think it would thin to almost nothing im sure.....
however, no downworlder can mate an have kids so, her mom couldnt have been anything BUT very distent shadowhunter....
the children of mundanes and shadowhunters turn into shadowhunters. so the angel blood doesn't get diluted, it's more dominant
I guess it might obliterate out, but if it thinned to almost nothing, then what's the significance of Tessa having it at all? sorry, not trying to challenge you or anything, just trying to figure it all out.

Wait no sorry, I take it back. I fail to see out it can be thinned out. Will's parents were a shadowhunter and a mundane, and he is very much a shadowhunter. If he had children with a mundane, they would be shadowhunters too. it wouldn't matter if they kept mating with mundanes, they'd keep being shadowhunters.

then what other blood could hermother have had that would be relivent in anyway?
i honestly don't have any cool guesses =( at some point i thought maybe she was part fae, kinda like what you said, so a fae & a mundane had a child & it was past down, until it got to Tessa's mother. So let's say her mother wasn't aware she was special herself maybe she had powers she was never aware of, like Tessa herself.
This way she'll have some angel, demon & human blood in her. but i honestly don't know if fae blood gets diluted or if it's dominant. most likely the latter. This theory is probably not right cause there has to be something special about her father, cause Mortmain said your mother wasn't aware of who she was with. & the fact that Mortmain said he had made Tessa for his purpose!
I think what Mortmain meant about that, was that a demon disguised itself as Tessa's mother's husband and slept with her.
so she definitely has demon blood in her, but there has to be something else too. i don't think it's niphilim blood. but why would Mortmain say that he made Tessa!?
Well that's the question, isn't it. Why did he create her? why does he want her so much? why is she so important? I can't wait to find out...
havin fay blood wouldnt take away the warlocks mark..... I think the only blood that could take that away is bloodof ah angel like simon an jaces blood, now simons a daylighter............
so then wouldn't fae blood be possible as well? fae blood is a mixture of angel blood and demon blood.
