The Mortal Instruments Series LOVERS! :P discussion
Excerpts from CoLS
they could've broken up in CoFA. from the other excerpts, sounds like they're kinda failing. I wonder why he's talking to Jocelyn about whatever it is.
Well that means that neither Magnus or Jocelyn die in CoFA!

I saw those on twitter! so awesome :) the one about the boat..do you think that was Clary talking to Jace..? or..?
Katherine wrote: "I saw those on twitter! so awesome :) the one about the boat..do you think that was Clary talking to Jace..? or..?"i wanna say it's Jace! but it could be Clary as well
DAIII the AWESOME one has arrived..now ur life is complete..no srrsly wats urppppppp..hows life guyzez???
Wow, i'm in like desperate need for City of Lost souls.....it's going to take wayyyy too long to come out!!!
Daylighter wrote: ""You stole a boat," she snapped. "What am I doing with you, you boat-stealing lunatic?""This sounds more like Izzy to me.
Yeah I can hear Izzy's voice there too, but I feel like it's definitely something that *Jace* would do, especially given that last teaser about having fun. Therefore I'm guessing Clary said it..

I agree also ! I re-read the last page today and started screaming I can not belive that it is such a big cliff hanger ! And we have to wait for the 5 th to come out a few months less than a YEAR !!
I loved the ending of COFA, I am reading it again just because I want it to be different (kind of like when you see a movie and someone you like gets shot, and then you rewatch the movie, and you're thinking "No it's ok, he'll dodge the bullet this time" but in reality, you can't change the movie since it's a movie) I could just write "And Jace then said 'sebastian' and then ripped the skin of his chest off and killed sebastian, then rode off into the sunset with clary, where they had many children until Jace had an affair with Maia and had a half angel-half werewolf baby which clary slays because she is still in love with jace"I am so looking forward to CoLS, mostly because i want to see more Alec and more Izzy/simon stuff :)
Whoa! That ending is so crazy and gruesome. No offense but I hope Cassie Clare never reads that and gets any ideas! lolIt sounds like a Mortal Instruments nightmare!

On the plus side, we know that clary's training has paid off ;)
I agree Juan, I liked the ending (except I don't want to change it). I've read enough cliff-hanger endings to know that this is the rare sort of good cliff-hanger ending. It makes you think, and it doesn't leave you hanging w/o any idea of what's going on. I actually wouldn't have liked as well if it had ended a few pages earlier...
Yes, Juan. Clary sounds real bad-ass! But I can't picture her ever killing a baby. Unless it were as ugly as a demon but any baby of Jace's I can't see ever being ugly.Naomi, I agree. The cliffhanger was the best part of the whole entire book for me.

I just think that the whole "Jace is the fighter and Clary is sort of like an assistant" thing is very sexiest. Maybe in the Epilogue of CoHF we should see Clary off killing demons and Jace taking care of the babies and cleaning around the house.
Juan- But that isn't how it is? Clary isn't like an assistant at all..she just has barely had any training. I guess I just don't understand what you're saying. I think the series is very anti-sexist.
I know, I wasn't referring to the entire series, but still, it seems as if Jace always has to protect clary. I liked some parts of COFA where Clary took care of herself.

There's such a fine line between Damsel in Distress, and totally unrealistic badass. I personally think it'd be a terrible book if Clary never needed help. I think that all things considering, she's pretty amazing.
Daylighter wrote: ""Is he happy like this? Really happy? And if he is, what are you saving him from?""Any thoughts about this? It leaves it so open about who's talking, who to, who about.
I have no idea why, but I automatically hear Izzy's voice. (to Clary, about Jace. I don't know that that makes sense, but it's just what comes to me.)

I think it might be Izzy to magnus, or even Jocelyn to Luke.

“He’s my friend,” said Magnus coldly. “His loyalty is to me.”
