If you're not interested in Sebald, don't worry. The beginning is all about translation in general, only around half way does she start talking about Sebald, so you can turn it off then. But if you ARE interested in Sebald, then this is a treat on top of a treat! She says a lot of smart things about him.

It's very thought provoking, even though she talks so fast that I can hardly keep up with the ideas. I'll have to listen to this several more times.

I liked this so much that I've changed the name of this group in honor of it: "Loosed in Translation" nice ring to it, and I hated the name before anyway... just couldn't think of anything better at the time.

I like our new name. "Lost in translation" is an overused phrase. Now we're as if "loosed" upon the world of great books.
