Stefan nodded to Lily, then floated over to Helena. He put a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down.

Helena looked up to him. "Why...am...I...like...this??!!" she asked loudly.

"It's normal...the same thing happens with me" he murmured

Stefan shrugged lightly,
"I'm not sure..."

"Most likely..." he said, making his way back to the school. He was feeling a bit strange right now...out of place.

Helena looked at him. "Why? Is it because of me? I have that affect on every...thing."

"I've never been outside before. My whole afterlife has been circled around the school. I feel, i dunno, empty" he tried to explain

"We are empty. All of us. We can't help it." she said, getting closer to him.

Stefan nodded,
"I guess you're right" he said and glanced at her.

"I like feeling empty. It's just...hard to explain why. I learned a long time ago that nothing is going to change."

Stefan sighed,
"I wish I could get used to it"

She put her arm around him. "You will. Trust me." she said.

Stefan smiled slightly.

Helena looked at him. She smiled the biggest she had smiled since she was alive.

Stefan's eyes shined. He hadn't known anyone this understanding before.

"I just feel horrible when I take life from anything living. It hurts so bad..." she said, trailing off as the one single tear rolled down her cheek.

Stefan wiped away the tear with his finger,
"I'm sorry" he whispered

"You shouldn't sympathize. You have worse problems than me." she whispered softly.

"Not necessarily" he said, shrugging lightly

Helena looked back at the rose. It was beautiful when it was blooming, but it looked so sad when it had wilted. Helena looked down at her hands."I'm so...dangerous.." she said to herself.

Christina looked around some more.

Then she picked out a book and sat down and read the back of it.

Christina didn`t know if she should get the book,but she did.

Christina got her book checked out and then went to english.

Christina turned around "Oh,hey Alli" she said

Stefan floated back to the library. He found a book he needed and floated to the top of the shelf. It was a yearbook. He flipped to the page with his picture, and sighed.

Helena followed him. "Was that you?"

"Yeah...can't believe I used to have blue eyes..." he muttered

Helena looked at the picture, dazed. She looked at he yearbook closely. "What year is this?"

"1995" he said, remembering the year by heart,
"I died 13 years ago"

"I died in 1778..." she said, looking at him.

Stefan shrugged.

"Serial killer" he murmured, and the whole scene replayed in his mind. He shuddered.

Helena flinched at the sudden thought. "That..makes sence...that's why you have red eyes."

"Yeah..." he said,
"I have a scar on my neck where my thraot was slit"

Helena closed her eyes."Ouch...so there is something worse than Spanish influenza..."

"It was worse for my girlfriend" he said softly

She bit her lip. "Stop thinking about it...somehow I can see it, too. And I'm feeling the physical pain you felt."
