My village, its about 60 kms from Bangalore, No phone (No signals) and no transportation, you have to have your own mode of transportation or go by the cart driven by the bulls or walk 6-7 kms from the main road. Trees and vegetation all around, cows and villagers in the world of their own and a small temple in the heart of the village, we can listen to its bells some 5 kms away...! thoughts of it is mesmerising. We always look forward to escape from the maddening crowd of the city!

Fav vacation spot in India-- hmm...thats the toughest question asked. There r so many beautiful places-- Ladakh, Himachal, Kashmir, Kerala, Coorg, Nainital, Rajasthan, Goa, North East and the list goes on..Its difficult to pick up one. Depends on the mood and the season.

We do not have much local food as our city is twin of Rajkot mainly Indian orientated food, we have rekri wala style and dosa places, but I would suggest you come over to my house, its way better.

Vadodara -- you have a good mix of "thela" (rekri/ street food) and nice restaurants

For local find, if you mean Gujju Thali-- Mandap at Hotel Express is best or Isckon temple restaurant

If you mean local varieties like Khaman/ Dhokla/ Khandvi-- there are various options like Payal Farsan, Raju Khaman etc
