Mansee | 2037 comments Yeah....while cleaning the cupboard came across old snaps....and it was pretty nostalgic...each picture has a story!! Digital photography has its own advantages but it has taken the charm out of photographs !!

How does a usual evening start and end for you?

Aravind P | 1366 comments Never kept a cat as pet, there used to be several of stray cats sniffing for something fishy at the backyard of my house. Few of them were even born at various corners of my house. Didn't find them literary stimulating at all. But I have heard of that myth.

Parikhit | 3999 comments I adore cats as well. All the cats I owned were the most precious things I had. Let me take this moment and mention to the world how loved you, my cats, were.

Push-push, Rimba, Jassi, Topsy and Bimbo(though he was a male cat:)). Lost Bimbo last year and I have requested maa not to keep one again :(

Shadow Wife - Diane Chamberlain. I had great expectations for this book, but the initial pages turned out to be something like a sentimental romantic novel with lots of "he thought"s and "she guessed"s.....

To me most of my books are almost like that - I may part with them only if there is grave threat to my or my loved one's lives otherwise.

Avakashikal - in malayalam - the longest novel ever - with about 4000 pages in 4 volumes. It took me weeks to complete it, but was enjoyable

its a family drama set in malaysia of the 1940s - its something like a soap opera - all sorts of emotions including jilted love, fight for property etc. etc. Here's some more info:

Avakasikal or Avakashikal is the longest novel in Malayalam literature written by M.K. Menon - better known by his pen name (short name) Vilasini. Avakaasikal means “inheritors” in Malayalam language. Published in 1980, the novel Avakasikal runs into 3,958 pages in four volumes and it took 10 years for M.K. Menon to complete the novel. Avakasikal portrays the story of an extended family settled in Malaysia.

Awards Received

Avakasikal won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1981 and Vayalar Ramavarmma Award in 1983.

About M.K. Menon

Born as Moorkanat Krishnankutti Menon, MK Menon’s other famous works are Oonjal, Inaangaatta Kannikal, Thudakkam, Chundeli, Yathramukham and Niramulla Nizhalukal

I am hardworking and I if I set my mind to something, I always get it done, no matter what happens.
I am also a very loyal friend, and I am often relied on for advice or just for someone to listen. Yah..so I am also a good listener.
(There's too many to list! :D JK)
