No, I don't really enjoy historical fiction very much, though it also depends on what the book is about.

TTPBM: What if you were the clone of your actual self, which was living half way across the world from you?

message 3152: by Parikhit (new)

Parikhit | 3999 comments That would be awesome were he to live in the states. And hope we meet like 'bhichre hue bhai' :D

TTPBM: Same

message 3153: by [deleted user] (new)

I am not sure what exactly I would do...
Cloning isn't allowed, and I believe it is against all moral laws and it just isn't human. And what exactly is the poitn of it? Ok, that was my opinion about cloning, but I would try to figure out who cloned me, and why they did. I would probably continue living as I usually do, and I would stay as far away as possible from my actual self...
I would try to get the dude who cloned me to stop cloning people, also.

TTPBM: What if you were missing one sense? Which of the five senses would you rather not have, if you had no choice?

I would not have known that I have clone, until I met her, which would be impossible if we live miles apart

message 3183: by Ahtims (new)

Ahtims (embeddedinbooks) | 47116 comments Mod
I will most probably be continuing with my half read books - "A Golden Age" which I just started, "Harry Potter book 1" which is going at snail's pace now as past few days my son is too tired to read (his holidays - playing hard and all day long, finally tumbling into bed at night, without bothering to change clothes or even brush his teeth). I am planning to start "Master and Margherita" on Jan 1

same as you, Parikhit. Maybe I dont want things to change, one more year means, one more year less of spending time with my loved ones, aging parents, speeding time. I wont continue to further increase your depression
TTPBM: best memory/event of 2011

message 3194: by Parikhit (new)

Parikhit | 3999 comments Exactly Smitha. You're reading my mind now. Every time I'm home for vacations I see my mother with hair more grey than the last time, my uncles with shoulders bent. It bothers me and equally scares me. A fleeting life! I better stop before I am bombarded with virtual rotten tomatoes.

Happiest moment..was there any?? Probably when I finally got myself a laptop.

message 3195: by Sathya (new)

Sathya Prakash (rivernile) | 4290 comments Hi, wish you all a very happy New Year!
I'm happy that this year has been very different than last few years as I'm with my wife and daughters in Shimla..the only point I'm not so happy is that I'm unabe to show them the snow as these places are unusually hot and extreamly cold at nights, still no sign of rainS...! Quite a freeky weather pattern to be depressed, though!
@Parikhit & Smitha, our moods also depend on our physical health conditions, even super men are not an exception...relax and divert your beautiful thoughts to enjoy the unfolding event...!

message 3197: by Ahtims (new)

Ahtims (embeddedinbooks) | 47116 comments Mod
all 3 of us were tired and were fast asleep by 11 pm yesterday night (spoilsports, I Know) I remember being barely woken up by crackers (maybe it was 12 am then) and then going back to sleep within a second. Today we went to a mall in Mangalore and enjoyed the usual way - too much of exorbitantly priced food, impulse buys etc.

Muddle head (adic) | 4646 comments We had a small party at our apartment, a cook was called upon to prepare food, we had some games, and when some of the elders left, we started with music and dancing.... i can say i danced for the first time in my life outside of the bathroom/bedroom.

TTPBM: Any mistakes so far in writing down the date this new year?
