TTPBM : which is the best and gripping beginning of all the books you have read?

TTPBM : Which book did you find pleasantly surprising and why?
maybe it makes it easier for them to be pitied and doted upon :D
TTPBM: whom do you like more, Edward or Jacob? (Twilight series)

Hullaballoo in the guava orchid - I bought the book online via Infibeam last month as I liked 'the inheritance of loss' by the same author. This one is satirical and a bit too absurd, still enjoyable

thats like asking why do you breath? :)
Reading just comes as a basic necessity...
TTPBM : Same as Saurabh's question..

TTPBM: Did you like toys during childhood? (Barbie's, GI Joe's, the works...)

TTPBM: Have you written any book / article and has it been published?

@Saurabh, definitely yes! In fact I've done it before too.
TTPBM: Are you biased towards Indian writers? Do you tend to 'feel' for their works more?

TTPBM : best Sitcom of year.

TTPBM: Do you visit temples and other places of worship regularly?
not regularly, but surely on religious holidays, birthdays, anniversaries etc.

writing - good writing can make even insipid characters and bizarre plots readable
TTPBM: which is the first novel you read, and at what age?
TTPBM: which is the first novel you read, and at what age?

TTPBM: Novels or short stories? And please tell why one over the other.
@Saurabh, Little Women was the first major novel I read at around 10 years of age or so (barring lots and lots of Enid Blyton in earlier years)
@Kunal, Novels - I love slowly getting involved with the plot and characters, sometimes characters are like friends to me. A short story ends everything too fast. I dont get emotionally entangled - I just feel like an outsider who is having a peek
TTPBM: same as Kunal's question
