Yes but sometimes it becomes difficult to implement as they suggest to break down the walls etc and change the overall plan...I think the architechts / constractors must plan according to Vastu from scrap itself...atleast the basic things like where the kitchen should be/ bedroom should be/ washrooms should be etc etc...

(mixing both in the same room might look wierd...maybe you can try different themes for diff rooms)
