Selva | 3391 comments weekend concept doesn't apply to me. But given a choice, would be outdoors.

TTPBM fav place to read?

message 22253: by Austin (new)

Austin George | 4069 comments These days, at the library. It's quiet and peaceful to read there, unlike at my shared apartment.

Selva | 3391 comments @Austin you are in the US?

I like reading in my room, lying in my bed. If I go to a library like Anna centenary library, I like it there too. It is nice and quiet with a great view. But the commuting time is too much.

TTPBM Do you annotate or don't bother (when reading a novel)?

message 22255: by Austin (new)

Austin George | 4069 comments @Selva, yes I am in the US now. It's been 1 1/2 months since I moved in here. The library here is just amazing. It's huge and has rare books that I couldn't find on Amazon and other book selling platforms in India or they were way too expensive to bother buying. There are reclining private sofas to lay down and read, private single person study rooms, and they have good scenic views too. On the flip side, Indian books written by less known authors are difficult to find. Some random examples are Sarat Chandra chattopadhyay, Jeyamohan etc.

I don't bother annotating when reading a novel. Too lazy to even look up words whose meanings I don't know, unless they keep repeating throughout the novel. For example, I was forced to look up the word sexton recently as it kept popping up every few pages while reading my current book.

Selva | 3391 comments @Austin Good to know. Remember seeing such sofas in Barnes Noble bookstores. you can buy the kindle edition of the books you don't get there. Anyway, have a good time.

Too lazy to annotate. I do look up unknown words.

TTPBM political thrillers or legal thrillers?

TTPBM whatsapp or Telegram?

message 22259: by Austin (new)

Austin George | 4069 comments WhatsApp. Not enough active users on Telegram. In the US, not everyone uses WhatsApp. Many are using something called GroupMe, which I had never heard of before.
