Also, I think he just wanted some new pastures to feed on. He's tasted the Premier League, he's flourished at La Liga. Now he wants to test the waters of Serie A. At least Serie A has some level of competition (unlike the French League). I'd say this matches the Neymar move to PSG, where he justified it as "Not for money, but a new challenge."

Yes.It takes me some time to adjust to the narrative and sometimes it even ends up me abandoning the book. Though, It's easier to switch from third person to first.
