message 20675: by Selva (new)

Selva | 3391 comments It changes your outlook/perspective in a not so overt way unlike say non-fiction. Besides u do certain things for fun. Needn't expect a tangible benefit out of everything.

message 20676: by Purvika (last edited Nov 14, 2017 08:06PM) (new)

Purvika (violetstygian) | 1252 comments Sometimes you need to see your life in different way, these books let you be whoever you want. Sometimes you're the protagonist sometimes you're the antagonist. You see yourself in the characters you read, in the situation they get in. Sometime you even feel you're reading your own story. It's an escape from everything you don't want to think. A book become many things. Your teacher, your lover, your company in the sleepless nights. Sometimes even your pet. Sometimes you read just to feel. Sometimes to just stop feeling. There are many different reasons. Every mind seeks different reasons to indulge in something it can keep itself occupied into. What matters is , what is your reason to read.

Ttpbm :if someone asked to write a biography on you... Will you be completely honest in sharing every minute details ?if not why ?

message 20677: by Vaibhav (new)

Vaibhav | 2052 comments Every minute detail is not necessary.

ttpbm : why people like to write essay even on simple things?

message 20678: by Akanksha (last edited Nov 14, 2017 10:54PM) (new)

Akanksha Chattopadhyay (akanksha_chattopadhyay) | 1126 comments because being able to write evokes an unparalleled sense of accomplishment. because writing is expressive and beautiful. and since realisation, more often than not, lies in expression, one written line necessitates another, and begets continuation.

It's like saying why do people cook when food has to get digested anyway.

Just because things are simple doesn't mean they cannot be expressed completely. Sometimes simple things needs the most detailed expressions, moreover thoughts doesn't keep the chart on word counts. You write what you think be it a single like or an entire page.

Ttpbm: do you write ?

message 20688: by Bishwaraj (last edited Nov 15, 2017 07:58PM) (new)

Bishwaraj Dey | 246 comments @Reena - I would only be able to do things differently if I am allowed to retain all the impressions I gathered so far. But if I am allowed to retain all the impressions, my childhood would be void of innocence. Isn't that a catch-22? Oh no, I wouldn't want to change a thing about my life.
