@Sucharita - It's sad, especially for generations to come. Who would want to raise a family is such conditions.

Interesting, we need to get a permit if we are doing anything of that sort. We also need to get permission from our neighbour..."
Excessive sound is not allowed after 12 PM in India.
But people in India are too liberal with their laws.
In Punjab and Haryana, the high court asked that the time for bursting crackers in Diwali will be from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. In Delhi, sale of crackers have been banned till November 1st.
@Bishwaraj - So its the people and not the system that is proving to be a problem?

Its hard to find root to the problem. It's a big nation with several belief system and countless opinions.
@Bishwaraj - True! Change is a difficult thing, especially when related to one's belief system.

You know, for the life of me, I can't do yoga. Ask me to do weighted squats, I'm on it. but Surya Namaskar is absolutely impossible.
Ttpbm: Can you do a handstand?

Yes, it's absolutely amazing. You should totally try it! You will feel like you were hit by a truck in the first few sessions but once you get used to it. Its addictive! It used to be an hour long, they reduced it to 30 mins just recently.

Ttpbm: Do you think India would run better if it were a communist country? A good dictator to whip things back into shape?

We had been under the" whip" for quite a long time and so right now....we do cherish our democracy.
It looks all shabby for outsiders but trust me you need to bring yourself back here to find the true beauty of India.
ttpbm:what's for lunch?

Ttpbm: Do you think India would run better if it were a communist country? A good dictator to whip things back into shape?"
G'Morning :)
No, things are better this way. I think we are running pretty smooth enough for a nation with a population of 1 billion that has accomodated all sorts of culture and dynamics.
I mean, look at countries that are uni-cultured and yet suffering of political instability.

ttpbm : how you usually feel when your plans get mauled by external factors just before their execution?

nothing special... usual dal, sabzi roti :)
