@Pranjali: No and yes, it's dangerous but we have been doing this sport since 400 BC. The term 'Jallikattu', originated from the Tamil words Salli and Kattu, referring to silver or gold coins tied to the bulls’ horns. The bulls that are tamed more than three times in jallikattu are used only domestic purposes like pulling carts etc., Whereas the bulls that can't be tamed are used for breeding. The milk from the cow has a lot of proteins. There is a lot of information and politics going on behind this which can't be explained in detail here. It's a very common sport in many cultures. This sport is also common in the state of Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra but I don't the exact name. :)
