Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments I don't celebrate new year's eve. In my opinion, it's nothing special. In cosmic terms, it is just another window of time like any other. Our planet will be drifting in space and I will probably be reading a book.

TTPBM: Have you ever seen a sky filled with so many stars that you get angry about the city you are living in where the light pollution masks most of the night sky and having robbed you of the spectacle that our night sky is in reality(like not being able to see the milky way galaxy)?

message 17402: by Lovesfrost (new)

Lovesfrost | 2224 comments nope not angry as after all it's our demand for more,an easier life that's causing the pollution :)and always to get something you have to compromise with others.... fair bargain there you see ,and as far as my knowledge goes no one would be ready to go back to the caves now that we have come so far :) so we have to let go of the stars.

Ttpbm: how would you deal with a insecure person?

message 17408: by Inder (new)

Inder Suri (thecloudfollower) Depends on how they react. Mostly, I guess I will try and make them feel comfortable and relax cause only then can you have great conversations with anyone.

Ttpbm: How many books are you planning to take in 2017 year challenge here?

message 17415: by Sayan (new)

Sayan Acharjee (tux_boi) | 322 comments Was he overpriced? YES!! We paid too much but that doesn't mean he wasn't a smart buy, we needed someone like him in the middle. Would have been best if he were never sold in the first place to Juve but alas!!

ttpbm: Would Chelsea end up winning the league?

message 17416: by Sankara Jayanth (last edited Dec 29, 2016 11:12PM) (new)

Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments Probably they will. But I hope Arsenal or Liverpool win it. Liverpool are invigorated with Klopp as the manager, although they are letting in too many goals but they have the potential to win it this year. They need Chelsea to slip up. Arsenal, well, I always wish well for Arsene, but Arsenal do what they do.

TTPBM: Who do you think would win the UEFA CL this season?

TTPBM if the next person is not into football: Did you ever break a glass? Like a window pane or something? Or cups, maybe? :P :D

message 17417: by Sayan (new)

Sayan Acharjee (tux_boi) | 322 comments CL winner is really hard to predict but I would guess someone from Spain. I hope it would be Atletico, Diego simone deserves on CL :)

TTPBM-Should I begin 2017 with the girl on the train or the alchemist?

message 17428: by Sayan (new)

Sayan Acharjee (tux_boi) | 322 comments Didn't like either of those so I would refrain from answering it :P

TTPBM- someone else please answer Mahima's query

message 17429: by Sankara Jayanth (new)

Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments Tough choice to make for someone else :D I'd say, The Alchemist. It has an poetic story that will tingle deep emotions and trigger introspection. It did for me, can't speak for others. I liked The Girl on the train too, it's twisted mystery and if you want to start your year with that, that's fine :D

Ttpbm: do you have a pet? Tell a little bit about it.

message 17430: by Lovesfrost (new)

Lovesfrost | 2224 comments Nope :(

ttpbm:why do we think so much ?

message 17435: by vishruti (new)

vishruti | 780 comments Maybe because we are curious about everything

Ttpbm: what is the one thing you have done out of your comfort zone?

message 17436: by Sankara Jayanth (new)

Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments Why indeed. On similar note, why do we feel so much and so many things? I think most living beings capable of thought do think so much, it's how brains work I guess. Who is to say that the dog nursing its puppies isn't worrying how it is going to manage raising 8 kids on the streets?

I don't know :D Very interesting question, I cannot possibly know why.

Ttpbm: same?

message 17437: by Sankara Jayanth (new)

Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments I interviewed a stranger for writing an article for a website. Talking to strangers is a scary thing for me, what with being an introvert. I can't even properly talk with family and friends. But on the phone, writing is another matter.

Ttpbm: why do humans think do much?

message 17438: by Lovesfrost (new)

Lovesfrost | 2224 comments because we do not know 'much' I guess :)

ttpbm:a place you would love to visit (fictional)?

Ttpbm: what do you think about the raise of ebooks and eReaders, do hard copies have a future? If so, how long?

message 17442: by Ahtims (new)

Hard copies will always be there..

TTPBM - same

message 17443: by Lovesfrost (new)

Lovesfrost | 2224 comments Hard copies rock!! But recently Mum is not allowing me to buy more books, so I have switched to ebooks :) till mum changes her mind.

ttpbm:same?

message 17444: by Pavithran (new)

Pavithran Iyengar | 4 comments I am not switching to ebooks till they start smelling the same as hard copies!!! (Just kidding, would still read hard copies ;) )

ttpbm: same?

message 17445: by Inder (new)

Inder Suri (thecloudfollower) E-books and E-readers are actually a great way to buy some specific genre of books for cheap and have them. I also like the fact that one can travel with very less luggage and still enjoy reading on E-Reader (Guess what I still somewhat travel with a book or two :P ).

But Physical hard copies aren't going anywhere soon. I am sure because I have met a lot of people who still enjoy both, the reading and the aroma that emanates from books. I don't think big publications would want to disappoint any of their past customers.

TTPBM: If I ask you to gift me a book, what do you think you'll gift me? YOU HAVE TO :P

message 17446: by Lovesfrost (new)

Lovesfrost | 2224 comments A good cook book and in return I shall ask you to parcel me some of the items when you try them out;D

Ttpbm: what comes before the alphabet A?

message 17447: by Sankara Jayanth (new)

Sankara Jayanth S (sankarajayanth) | 1158 comments 5%. I'm a nocturnal creature. Speaking of nocturnal, if you are into movies, watch the recent movie 'Nocturnal Animals', it's great.

TTPBM: What type of movies do you like?

message 17448: by Lovesfrost (new)
