yes
TTPBM: do all your friends and acquaintances love books (or are you an exception)?

message 1206: by [deleted user] (new)

Leaving my family aside, its only me, my best friend and a scattering of few friends who like to read. The rest think its a waste of time and of trees :(

TTPBM: are u the only bookworm in the family?

message 1207: by Ahtims (new)

Ahtims (embeddedinbooks) | 47116 comments Mod
my father used to read a lot, my mother was an English Literature Lecturer before her marriage (but nowadays both have given up the habit due to other pursuits)

TTPBM: the costliest book you have ever bought?

message 1208: by [deleted user] (new)

Im not sure which was more expensive- Greys Anatomy or Guyton when I was in the first year.

TTPBM: Does ur family get bugged with ur reading habits?

message 1209: by Mansee (new)

Mansee | 2037 comments Not my family...some of my friends sometimes used to be but thankfully they r too busy now to get affected:)

TTPBM; same

message 1210: by Harini (new)

Harini (rini11) | 43 comments Sometimes. I have this habit of getting lost in the book, which they say is annoying as I don't listen to what they are saying. Some of my friends hate how I go on and on about the books I love :P.

TTPBM: The book that you regret buying?

message 1211: by [deleted user] (new)

truly madly deeply... not that it was expensive (it wasnt) just that it was worthless and now takes up space in my bookshelf!

TTPBM: Same

(btw: Harini, if im not mistaken this is ur first post out of the mix and match page :))

Escape by Manjula Padmanabhan. I spent around 250 or 300 and couldnot read beyond a few pages. I will try to read it again. Sometimes my likings change with my moods

Yes. Many a time. Whenever I eat conference food at 5 star hotels I have been disappointed. Sometimes it seems as if taste is inversely proportional to the star ratings of the restaurants
