@Aditya: I haven't read HP but from the movie I think its the basic magic world nothing innovative.:D

Ohhhhhhh....How wrong can one be...Basic magic world?! Magical magic world...One can almost dissolve in the smell, the sensation...amazing stuff...there's some reason the world loves it... *sigh*

It's like you have to give points to Sir Doyle for searching clues with a magnifying glass...
Imagining such a world, perfectly in harmony with the Other Side, and, penning it in prose is staggeringly beautiful for me!!!

but then every fantastical world is beyond imagination. Isn't it?
haven't read so can't comment on prose.

True...but to start writing something which defies all conventions for one of the first times....I mean, and maybe I am wrong here, had anyone even thought of anything even miles from the HP world before J.K. Rowling wrote this? That is the reason why her book was not published for so long...who would think people would love a book in which there are wizards and magic around?! But it works!! I love this, being transported completely different world where normal laws and rules dont apply. It takes sheer genius to do so, and wild imagination......whoa! Long one! Phew!

I understand what you are saying but then you have read only HP. try something by Brandon Sanderson and you will see the difference in the imagination of both writers. :)
