I don't watch a lot of kung fu, but I adore the older Jackie Chan movies. Not the American ones which upset the humor-fighting balance, but the Drunken Master movies and Who Am I etc. For me it's not a safety thing or a sexy thing, though.

While I can't say I find kung fu guys particularly sexy - I'm a lot taller than those compact wiry guys - I do have to admit my love for Jackie Chan. Not because he's a kung fu guy, but because I saw a biography on him on cable. When he told how of he was forced to learn acrobatics, etc, I became smitten. He's so charming.

When I saw "Dutch" I thought of my ex-roommate's dog who was named after Ronald Reagan. He's a very regal and very muscular dog who likes to pee on everything.

I love Drunken Master and kung fu movies in general. For anyone interested, I think this is one of the best choreographed martial arts fights ever because of how long the beginning of the fight is with no camera cuts.

what I've always admired about martial artists is their ability to walk away from fights over silly matters. self-control is important. If I had it to do over again, I would have taken martial arts training when my body was relatively healthy. And I would have enrolled my son in classes too.

When I used to teach martial arts, the other instructors and myself would host "Enter the Dragon" parties. :) We'd get together to watch, of course, everyone knew the script and delivery by heart and would reenact their favorite scenes. Our brand of humor was all very dorky and fun.

We'd also make fun of Jean Claude Van Damme yelling "LOOK!!! I can do the spleeeeets!" in Double Impact.

My personal faves are Bruce Lee, Jet Li, & Jackie Chan - I also have a massive crush on Chow Yun Fat.
