Great to see you here Diane!
Great to see you here Diane!

Hey Diane! I'm so happy that you're enjoying the books. I hope you'll enjoy how it all works out in the end--also there's going to be a party!!! You are invited, obviously!

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I do my best to deliver! (Sorry if the wait is a little long now and then.)

I don't how do you mean it about waiting ''a little long'', but I use this opportunity to stress that I really value the fact that you don't produce a quick assembled story every three months or so, but instead you wait till you can release a well crafted book which leaves invariably all your readers in awe.
Thank you!

Thank you, Antonella!

Thank you for letting us know and for your creativity. I like especially the ones with a milk theme ;-).

Something I was thinking about lately: all Ginn's books are exceptional and have also a different ''flavour''. She doesn't repeat herself, which is a sign of mastery.
((ok, I'm gushing a bit here, but it is what I honestly think ;-))

I'm really glad the Lord of the White Hell is finding its audience!

You're too kind!
I do always want to write something new--something that challenges me in a different way, so yeah the books tend to be an odd little fellowship. I've just been very lucky to have found readers who are willing to put up with my quirks as an author.

I think there are two reasons:
First, In Lord of the White Hell the sex is defining and transforming for Javier. I felt like glossing over it wouldn't have conveyed just how important it was, (really to both young men involved.)
Second, sex scenes have never been a super strong point of mine and it was only after accruing all the practice of writing the Rifter that I felt able to handle more detailed scenes without making them sound either like excerpts from a faucet installation manual. :D

Never fear, I like snarky folks and I appreciate the company you've put me in!

Yes, I thought much the same thing when I completed the first two books. I've sketched out some outlines for other stories... I'd certainly like to expand the world a little.

Best news of the day! Thanks Ginn :)

Keeping in topic ;-): any news on the sequel of ''Wicked Gentlemen''?

Just that I'm writing at a slightly faster rate than I'm deleting.
(Which is actually how I always write, but it can be really slow since a full 8 hours of work often amounts to little more than a page of manuscript.)

Here’s something only slightly on-topic: Will you be at Yaoi Con again this year, Ginn?

Thank you! I hope you can find an even better balance between writing and deleting ;-)

YES!
I'll be at the Blind Eye Books table-- so anyone else who's attending please feel free to swing by and watch me frantically attempt to keep writing from behind a stack of books I'm supposed to be selling.

Yeah, I think the guy kind of deserves his own story and a chance to get things right.
(Also he's Nicole's favorite character so I've go an in with the editor! :D)

I should mention that Nicole Kimberling and Astrid Amara will be there as well. We often use Yaoi-con as a chance to bounce ideas off each other. It's really fun... Also some of the costumes are amazing!

I think it's actually pretty cheap to attend.

(Travel and hotel may be something else but the convention itself seems pretty reasonable.)

As usual the discussion begins late in the month, in this case October 22nd. All are welcome to participate!

Fear not, I will make myself scarce! It's always uncomfortable to have an author hanging around watching from over your shoulder while you read her work. :D
Just in case anybody was interested, I thought I'd post a link to issue 10 of Icarus magazine edited by the inestimable Steve Berman. This issue contains an interview with Ginn as well as some great short fiction.

Oh no! My dark secrets revealed!!!!!

Hi, Nicole!
It looks interesting, but to subscribe to 4 issues for $24.99 is a bit too much without knowing it. Couldn't they offer the choice of buying one or two issues?
Oops, I wrote this here but I realized I should tell people at Weightlessbooks... I'll do it now!

The first review for Book 8 is there:

I think there is an option for buying only one issue. Here is the link:

There's something so nice about being able to hold a book and flip through the pages,(or if you're a cretin like me to write notes all along the borders). ;D

I suspect that it will be your library that future archeologists will discover--perfectly preserved--4000 years from now!

I can understand that. I've lost a multitude of books by turning them over to people who it seems could not bear to return them!
(Some where out in the world someone still has my first copy of James Thurber's The Thirteen Clocks... I will find you!!!!!)
