Hi fellow Rifter Readers!I just finished The Holy Road and will be starting Book 6 today. I had intended to read only the first one or two books because I love Ginn Hale's writing so much....it's like a special treat to read her books. However, once I started reading, I couldn't stop! I also will hate having to wait for book seven next months. I just love how the story is developing. I am actually proud of myself for figuring some surprises in the story out on my own. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the books, but will be sad when they are over and I will once again be waiting for another new Ginn Hale book to be published. Thanks so much for your fantastic writing!

Great to see you here Diane!
Great to see you here Diane!
Diane wrote: "Hi fellow Rifter Readers!I just finished The Holy Road and will be starting Book 6 today..."Hey Diane! I'm so happy that you're enjoying the books. I hope you'll enjoy how it all works out in the end--also there's going to be a party!!! You are invited, obviously!
Thanks for the invite! I have never been disappointed in the endings for any of your previous works. I do like a HEA ending....although I am wondering if that will be possible here. I had my doubts when I read the Lord of the White Hell series, but it all came out to my satisfaction in the end. My only problem is that I am left always wanting more when I read your books. It's a test of my patience waiting for the next one!

Hi, Ginn!I don't how do you mean it about waiting ''a little long'', but I use this opportunity to stress that I really value the fact that you don't produce a quick assembled story every three months or so, but instead you wait till you can release a well crafted book which leaves invariably all your readers in awe.
Thank you!

Thank you, Antonella!
Hi Ginn and Nicole - I have added a few of the things I have been doing including the graphic which I will be using for the Facebook Fan Page... hope you like what I have done - if Fikiri is too rude I will take it down..but I think it is funny..maybe I am too rude @.@
Hi, Barb!Thank you for letting us know and for your creativity. I like especially the ones with a milk theme ;-).

Not a problem Antonella... I will be adding more as the books continue poor John needs to feel the love - just need a catch phrase lol Kyle kinda rules my reading roost :-)
I'm reading Lord of the White Hell right now and I have been sucked in. I haven't finished book 2 yet but it may be my favorite of yours Ginn. I know I shouldn't say that until I finish Rifter but I'm loving
Yes, ''Lord of the White Hell'' was freaking great. Something I was thinking about lately: all Ginn's books are exceptional and have also a different ''flavour''. She doesn't repeat herself, which is a sign of mastery.
((ok, I'm gushing a bit here, but it is what I honestly think ;-))

You're too kind!
I do always want to write something new--something that challenges me in a different way, so yeah the books tend to be an odd little fellowship. I've just been very lucky to have found readers who are willing to put up with my quirks as an author.
yes!! ditto ditto ditto!! I too am reading and LOVING Lord of the White Hell; and pimping it to the max on the Rifter FB page.... can I ask a personal question - kinda. In LOTWH you write a bit more of the smexy details; why in Rifter do you gloss over it more? let me tell you the line about eating kittens; and then the response from Javier had me laughing and grinning! you have the knack of writing such beautiful, witty and casual dialogue - that I actually feel like I am part of the conversation :-D
Finished Lord of the White Hell .... It was brilliant!! Ginn - now it ay be wishful thinking , but ... I definitely see the possibility of so much story e told - is there? Can you see more in this world? Them on the run and finally coming home? More Fedeles. More of Kiri's brother. More Elezar. More, more, more ... Please :-D
Barb wrote: "can I ask a personal question - kinda. In LOTWH you write a bit more of the smexy details; why in Rifter do you gloss over it more?..."I think there are two reasons:
First, In Lord of the White Hell the sex is defining and transforming for Javier. I felt like glossing over it wouldn't have conveyed just how important it was, (really to both young men involved.)
Second, sex scenes have never been a super strong point of mine and it was only after accruing all the practice of writing the Rifter that I felt able to handle more detailed scenes without making them sound either like excerpts from a faucet installation manual. :D
Lisa wrote: "I'm being snarky when I say it is such a hardship to read your stuff Ginn. You rival all the mainstream authors out there. Even Kim Harrison. If you knew me and how dedicated I am to that series, y..."Never fear, I like snarky folks and I appreciate the company you've put me in!
Barb wrote: "Finished Lord of the White Hell .... It was brilliant!! Ginn - now it ay be wishful thinking , but ... I definitely see the possibility of so much story e told - is there? Can you see more in this ..."Yes, I thought much the same thing when I completed the first two books. I've sketched out some outlines for other stories... I'd certainly like to expand the world a little.
Ginn wrote: "Barb wrote: "Finished Lord of the White Hell .... It was brilliant!! Ginn - now it ay be wishful thinking , but ... I definitely see the possibility of so much story e told - is there? Can you see ..."Best news of the day! Thanks Ginn :)
Barb wrote: "More, more, more ... Please :-D"Keeping in topic ;-): any news on the sequel of ''Wicked Gentlemen''?

Just that I'm writing at a slightly faster rate than I'm deleting.
(Which is actually how I always write, but it can be really slow since a full 8 hours of work often amounts to little more than a page of manuscript.)
Ginn wrote: "Just that I'm writing at a slightly faster rate than I'm deleting..."Here’s something only slightly on-topic: Will you be at Yaoi Con again this year, Ginn?
Ginn wrote: "Just that I'm writing at a slightly faster rate than I'm deleting"Thank you! I hope you can find an even better balance between writing and deleting ;-)
Oh, I'm thrilled to hear that there will be a sequel to "Wicked Gentlemen". That book was the second M/M book I read (the first being "Lord John and the Private Matter" by Diana Gabaldon). I wrote to Ginn after reading that book expressing my enjoyment of the book and a wish that we would have another book to read about Belimai and William. I frequently seem to fall in love with the characters in the books that I love!
Ginn that is the best news I have had all day!! and re sex scenes..you write them really beautifully. Less can convey so much more when written by a skilled writer :-D NOT to say that I always want less. But as you say, it all depends on the story! thanks for answering :-D More Elezar!!
Em-nat wrote: "Here’s something only slightly on-topic: Will you be at Yaoi Con again this year, Ginn?"YES!
I'll be at the Blind Eye Books table-- so anyone else who's attending please feel free to swing by and watch me frantically attempt to keep writing from behind a stack of books I'm supposed to be selling.
Barb wrote: "More Elezar!! "Yeah, I think the guy kind of deserves his own story and a chance to get things right.
(Also he's Nicole's favorite character so I've go an in with the editor! :D)

I should mention that Nicole Kimberling and Astrid Amara will be there as well. We often use Yaoi-con as a chance to bounce ideas off each other. It's really fun... Also some of the costumes are amazing!
Lisa wrote: "Sounds like a trip. Its probably pretty expensive though isn't it? "I think it's actually pretty cheap to attend.

(Travel and hotel may be something else but the convention itself seems pretty reasonable.)
With Josh lanyon in October we will read, or for most of us re-read for the nth time:
See here:

As usual the discussion begins late in the month, in this case October 22nd. All are welcome to participate!
Oops! Totally forgotten: Ginn, make yourself scarce;-), you are not supposed to be on the thread during the discussion of your book...
Antonella wrote: "Oops! Totally forgotten: Ginn, make yourself scarce;-), you are not supposed to be on the thread during the discussion of your book..."Fear not, I will make myself scarce! It's always uncomfortable to have an author hanging around watching from over your shoulder while you read her work. :D
Just in case anybody was interested, I thought I'd post a link to issue 10 of Icarus magazine edited by the inestimable Steve Berman. This issue contains an interview with Ginn as well as some great short fiction.

Nicole wrote: "Just in case anybody was interested, I thought I'd post a link to issue 10 of Icarus magazine edited by the inestimable Steve Berman. This issue contains an interview with Ginn as well as some grea..."Hi, Nicole!
It looks interesting, but to subscribe to 4 issues for $24.99 is a bit too much without knowing it. Couldn't they offer the choice of buying one or two issues?
Oops, I wrote this here but I realized I should tell people at Weightlessbooks... I'll do it now!
Ehmm... someone should add a new topic! The first review for Book 8 is there:

I think there is an option for buying only one issue. Here is the link:

I've read them multiple times on my Kindle, but I'm so excited to read them in print."There's something so nice about being able to hold a book and flip through the pages,(or if you're a cretin like me to write notes all along the borders). ;D
