Anja, you're awesome! Thanks for your hard work in putting this together. I can't wait for tomorrow :D

Ensucorazon | 3 comments Thank you very much Anja! I'm going to use the pdf book version :-)

May the Holy Spirit guide us in our readings! A prayer of Saint Thomas Aquinas before studying:

O INFINITE Creator, who in the riches of Thy wisdom didst appoint three hierarchies of Angels and didst set them in wondrous order over the highest heavens, and who didst apportion the elements of the world most wisely: do Thou, who art in truth the fountain of light and wisdom, deign to shed upon the darkness of my understanding the rays of Thine infinite brightness, and remove far from me the twofold darkness in which I was born, namely, sin and ignorance. Do Thou, who givest speech to the tongues of little children, instruct my tongue and pour into my lips the grace of Thy benediction. Give me keenness of apprehension, capacity for remembering, method and ease in learning, insight-in interpretation, and copious eloquence in speech. Instruct my beginning, direct my progress, and set Thy seal upon the finished work, Thou, who art true God and true Man, who livest and reignest world without end. Amen.

And lo I bring news of great joy - I got back from church just now (I travel rather far to the parish I go to Mass in) and my copy was waiting in my postbox! Just in the nick of time!

I've quickly flipped through the introduction (it's late and I really should be asleep because I'm working early again tomorrow) and it's like this book is EXACTLY what I need to read right now. My confessor would approve - there's stuff in this thing he's been harping on at me about since at least Candlemas :D

Anja, will you start a new topic for each phase?

message 7: by Carlos (new)

Carlos Torres (catcubano) | 22 comments I've begun! It's looking good so far. Let see how well I keep up while balancing everything else that is going on.

Anja, thanks for your leadership in coordinating all of this!

message 8: by Jan-Jaap (new)

Jan-Jaap van Peperstraten | 4 comments I managed to get a copy sent to my local branch through the Public Library System - a 1919 Dutch translation should - hopefully - arrive soon!

Anja, I understand! I speak English natively and still have to read each line twice to comprehend. Good Lenten penance, enjoying it :)

Hehe. I'm right there with you. People just don't speak that way anymore. :)

Jan-Jaap van Peperstraten | 4 comments Anja wrote: "Oh Jan-Jaap could you keep me informed about dutch translations (ISBN and such).

The only Dutch translation I could find was a 1919 edition. I don`t think they did ISBN's back then. However, if I dredge up anything useful I`ll let you know.

Thadeus | 28 comments Anja,

Really frustrated with Scribd right now. I had planned on going back to the link each for each phase, but decided I'd rather download the whole thing.
It asks you to login using your Facebook acct (which I did), but then I couldn't download it. It keeps asking me to login again.

Any suggestions? Is anyone else having this problem with downloading the reading schedule?

Thanks,
Thadeus
