I second that :)

Then I propose

I am with Antonella and Ame.
Okay guys, it's nomination time for September!
Antonella has suggested For Real by Alexis Hall as the September read since it won an award and wasn't selected as our BOM last month.
I know some people are in agreement for that, but what about the rest of you? Nows the time to speak up. If we all agree on For Real, then we won't take nominations for September and there won't be a poll.

Does anyone else have feelings on September's read? We're coming up on the 1st of the month, so if you do, now's the time to speak up!

I hope some guys like it as much as I did. The BSM elements of the BDSM are pretty mild, if that helps."
It's very good, and definitely different than any other book i read that happened to have BDSM elements; and it's very intense, at least that was my feeling reading it.

I agree on all points, it is intense but in a good sense.
Ok everyone, it's time to start nominating books for our October read! Sometime on Wednesday I'll start a poll.
My nomination is Eleventh Hour.
My nomination is Eleventh Hour.

Oh yes! I second this one -- not least because it has the potential to generate a lot of conversation. :-)

Alright folks, here's the link to the poll. I had some trouble setting up the dates with it. It should be active tonight. No matter the start time, whether it's 9pm or midnight tonight, it will close at midnight on the 30th, so get your votes in before then!

Ok guys, while we discuss Bitter Legacy in the other thread, it's time to start thinking about our November read! Post your nominations here, and if they get seconded, I'll put them in a poll on the 28th for voting until the 31st.
Antonella wrote: "Considering that
was almost chosen for October, we could read it in November ;-)."
We could, but the voting left this one in the dust, literally. Well, maybe turned it into roadkill after running it over first. lol.
That said, I would second this one.
I'm still trying to come up with something good that isn't already ancient news. You know me, I'm several years behind in my MM reading. :-)

I'm actually going to nominate Flight Dreams for November. It's more a mystery than a gay romance and seems to have gotten some good reviews.
Thanks to Johanna for reminding me that Murder Between the Pages becomes available this week, just in time for a November BOM, if we want to read that instead of something else. Thoughts?

Sounds like a plan… : )
P.S. I would like to recommend Eleventh Hour to readers even if we never get to it as a BOM.

Good to know!
We can always revisit Eleventh Hour for January, if it doesn't get selected for November.
Josh gets to pick our December read! :-D

Hey, I own that one! It would be nice to read something already in the queue.

lol, that's my thinking too. I went through my already owned ebooks to see what I could recommend. :-)

I wish there was something...sort of magical to read for December! I don't even know that that would be.
Something M/M but...really charming and witty and yet genuinely exciting. It seems so long since I've read anything like that...

Uhhhhh... LOL
Wait a minute.
I'm kind of hoping my books will continue to be discussed in my own private Goodreads author group. Not sure I want to compete for the privilege!

Erm... good thinking, dear Josh. I think you've got a point there... :-)
Although I don't have any doubt who is going to win that poll. In Josh Lanyon's group. No less. :-D

Not a doubt who's winning. :-) I could easily announce it today.
I included all the choices because the majority didn't say one way or the other. But next time we'll make sure to make that decision before poll time. :-D

Who hasn't read it by now?

I finished it last night and loved it. And I CAN'T WAIT to discuss it with you guys!

Yes, please!
Okay, peeps! Like we always do with Josh's brand new books, we'll start to discuss our November BOM Murder Between the Pages immediately. Only rather than have a separate BOM topic for this one, we're going to have the discussion in Murder Between the Pages' own Story Discussion topic.
See you there!!!
See you there!!!

I *think* I have an idea for this, by the way! :-D But I should probably glance the book over myself first just to make sure.

I've got a suggestion for you guys. When Josh has a new book coming out should we automatically read that, versus voting for something else? I think we've been doing this lately, but maybe we should make it official from now on that we just don't consider anything else for that month? I mean, we're all going to be reading Josh's new releases anyway, right?
:-D

How about Ginn Hale's new one for our December read? Maze Born Trouble?
I've got it on my Kindle right now! :-D
And yes, we can still talk about THE CURSE OF THE BLUE SCARAB because you guys will anyway. It is such a weird book, and maybe a peculiar choice (I'm thinking now) for a mash-up.
