Reggie Almost Like Being in Love is good too! I'll second that one. Is it easier to get?

Yep, there's still plenty of time for more suggestions and for the poll.

Calathea, sweetheart, you are our "poll lady", aren't you? ;)

(Because I'd suck creating polls, I'm pretty sure about that...)

"poll lady"?
I'll make a poll when the time is right (and only then).

Almost Being In Love sounds like a good one to me. Nice light and fluffy.

We definitely don't have to go with my suggestions. I was just thinking of books I haven't read but already own. I know we've already read at least one JCP book. before, so we don't need to do another one yet if no one wants to.

John (arkbear) | 322 comments Apparently everything in my queue of books to read is angst-ridden and dark... or just plain not M/M. So the idea of something a little light sounds kind of good to me, too. I was browsing Jessewave a bit ago and Butterfly Hunter looked like it might fit the bill. Presumably Manifold Press will accept £3.75 from overseas for the electronic editions so there'll be none of this "not available in countries beginning with "I" or "N" nonsense."

Be ready for Manifold's quirky delivery method: You pay your money (in a variety of ways) and wait for your copy to be e-mailed to you. The claim is service within 48 hours; it took about 15 minutes for me today. Amazon has it, but only in paper.

Ah yes. Adobe Digital Editions - perhaps the worst e-format ever invented.

I figured out how to break DRM on Adobe Digital Editions, as I wanted a book that could only be bought that way. I'm damned if I am going to buy a book and not be able to read it on my Kindle. I have decided that U.S. law will come down on my side on this one.

I see they're also publishing Death Claims electronically.... I wonder if they're planning to put out any of the other Brandstetter mysteries. At $10 a pop I doubt I'll be buying them all at once, but still, it'd be nice to have them in a text size my ancient, abused eyes can manage.

It's a very good book. *nod* , very inventive and with cool characters.
Is there a date for the sequel?

Butterfly Hunter is a nice read with a very exocit setting (for me). You don't come across Australian Outback every day in your m/m reading. :)

Ditto this. I am so spoiled. I Love my e-reader!

Here in the States, Manifold press eventually releases their books through AllRomanceEbooks.com and Rainbowebooks.

Butterfly Hunter is available thru these outlets, also.

Oh, you guys are bringing out too many really good options. But we definitely haven't read anything by Anne yet, and I would love to read it. So...

Butterfly Hunter is available at AllRomance now. I ordered mine through Manifold last year and although the ordering process was more convoluted than what we're used to, it worked fine. Manifold releases its books to AllRomance and Rainbow after awhile, so you can order it at https://www.allromanceebooks.com/prod...

I really enjoyed this book, and also really enjoyed Too Stupid to Live, so if we're passing on Fadeout for now, I'd be happy discussing either choice in February.

Reggie I've forgotten, when do we post a poll? I don't want to hurry the process, I just don't want to miss out on the voting! 8)

Calathea | 6034 comments The poll for BOM club read Feb 2013 is up.

Vote here.

The poll runs from this second till Sunday, Feb 03.

The poll offers choices in random order, results stay hidden until the end and answers are given anonymously.

Happy voting!

Gosh, that was the hardest poll to vote on, I think. But I guess that just means I could be happy with most of those choices if what I picked isn't a universal choice. ;-)

It's just so puzzling to me. One of my most cherished books but I couldn't bring myself to read it again.

Maybe because it is little too cherished? And so I have to be in the right state of mind? Or maybe because I'm instinctively uneasy about it influencing me in the midst of my own writing?

That might be it.
