Okay, I figure any of us would be happy to read any of these. So i thought it might be fun to give reasons for the books we're leaning toward. I'm think of I Spy Something Bloody or Dangerous Ground because it's been the longest since I've read either of them. And then I think, oh but I'll have to read the rest of the books in the series. Hmmmm. Not a hardship! LOL

You might want to double check my list before you put up the poll, then!
In the U.S., we use the equinox and solstice dates to mark the change of season; spring begins March 20, summer begins June 21, fall begins September 22, and winter begins December 21. I didn't realize that other countries did it differently.
So some of my "definitely spring" books might be set March 20-31 or June 1-20.

Exactly, I just didn't get specific with the dates. It ended up this way when I was trying to determine when we should do the readings and I thought, every four months would be good, that's one per season. Since we read/discuss for the entirety of the month, when exactly the season changes doesn't matter so much. So, I went with whole months.
Spring: March-May
Summer: June-August
Fall: September-November
Winter: December-February
I guess the way it works out this way is that it really focuses on which month the season starts. It's really just when are we reading it. In other words, I'm not being exact and the book doesn't have to be either. lol.
Apologies for the confusion! I promise easier themes next year.

Honestly, this is tough! But Dangerous Ground is one of my favorites (in general, and of that series) and it's been forever since I've read it.
Then again, I think Ghost of a Chance I've only read once. So.... might have to pick that one. I do just want to read all of them. lol

The poll for our May "Spring" Josh Reread is now up through next Wednesday: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/2...
If you're having trouble voting, might I recommend the free pickerwheel.com? Just input the titles and press the spin button. :-)

Ha!
I'm happy to re-read any of these. I think I've re-read all of them (Dangerous Ground multiple times) except for the short story, Night Watch... so maybe I'll just read that one soon for fun.

Same! Any of these would be a good reread! I can’t wait to see which gets the most votes though! Lol
I would like to announce that our Spring themed Josh reread book for May will be.... Stranger on the Shore!!!
What a great choice!
What a great choice!

What a great choice!"
When I clicked on the title, it showed I read this book in Nov. 2014. (!) I had no idea it had been that long ago, since I remember the story very well. As it turns out, of our choices, THIS is the one it's been the longest since I've read it, so I'll be happily downloading and re-reading soon.

What a great choice!"
Nice. :-) Also, good audiobook. So a re-read is in order.

Hi Everyone,
We are currently reading A Mage's Guide to Human Familiars for this month's BOM! You can find the discussion here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Also, if you are following along with the Cadeleonian Series Challenge Read, we are now reading book two, Lord of the White Hell, Book 2. The discussion for that will stay in the same thread as the first book, which you can find here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Hi Everyone,
It's that time to start nominating books for our June BOM read! You've got one week to nominate before I post the poll.

Is it bad form to nominate book three in a series? I'm sure most of us have read the first two in K.D. Edwards' series. The third book comes out next month just in time for us to read it in June.
Anyway, I'm nominating this unless folks object.

The Hourglass Throne

The price is completely prohibitive for me. I wait for these to show up at one of my libraries or on Scribd.

Oh poo! Yeah, I hadn't looked at the price yet. That's a lot.
FYI, it is available to preorder in Overdrive if they use it and you have a way to tell your library to order it for you.
In the meantime, I'll find something else!

Wow, more than 14 dollars! I totally agree with you.

I did that months ago, so if any of my libraries get it, I should be early in the queue to borrow it. But there's a very, very low success rate for my purchase requests, even across 3 libraries... maybe one book in 6? One in 8? :(

Ouch. That's a lot. I plan to get the audiobook with a normal credit (should be 10€/$). It's supposed to be released at the same time... and maybe the ebook-version will be more reasonably priced later on...

Ouch! Do they tell you why they don't purchase? Our old system didn't let us tell patrons if we bought something or if we didn't or why we didn't. Our current system does let us tell you why. The biggest reason is that the book just isn't available for libraries to purchase through our distributors.

I'm just not in the mood for things these days. I'm now trying to find something to review for my work blog in two weeks and I'm just not feeling anything.
I did just get JCP's newsletter where she talks about Zero Hour which I've been meaning to reread for ages.
Or, she has that new Spellcraft series that I still haven't read yet Quill Me Now.
What does anyone else feel like reading?

No, I don't see an option anywhere for asking for an explanation.

I would reread anything by JCP ;-).

Maybe we should do a poll with all of JCP’s novels written in her newsletter. I think that includes Zero Hour, Magic Mansion, and The Starving Years.
If no one has any thoughts for the poll, it’ll be Zero Hour and Quill Me Now by JCP. Let me know by tomorrow if you want anything else on the poll.

We are also reading Champion of the Scarlet Wolf, Book One as part of our Cadelionian series reread, which you can discuss here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Hey Everyone,
So it's that time! We need to take nominations for our next BOM! Please let me know within the week what you would like to read next and I'll get the poll up next Thursday.
As I mentioned in a previous thread yesterday, I'll nominate Frank Spinelli's Perfect Flaw!

Hi Everyone,
It's that time, we need to be thinking about our next Josh reread! So for the next week I will be taking nominations for your favorite Josh books set in the summer months!
The poll will not exceed five titles so if more than five are nominated we may do some juggling.
The first nomination is Perfect Day!
What are your favorites? Tell us here!

Oooohhh, that's a good one. Going into book three is a little tricky, but if enough other folks agree with it, then we can certainly go with it.

I think The Scrabble series is too new right now, and I'd like to focus on older works for this.
Also, it's helpful to know that each season technically has three months in it. Winter ends in February. Spring ends in May. Summer ends in August. Fall ends in November. These, ironically, are the months we will be doing the rereads! I was really hoping to get Fair Play on this poll, but I will make sure it gets on the summer poll along with the others!
Anyway, if anyone has thoughts on the proposed titles, just let me know!
