Yep, there's still plenty of time for more suggestions and for the poll.
Calathea, sweetheart, you are our "poll lady", aren't you? ;)
(Because I'd suck creating polls, I'm pretty sure about that...)

"poll lady"?

I'll make a poll when the time is right (and only then).

It's available on Kindle in Italy. Here's the publisher's page

Almost Being In Love sounds like a good one to me. Nice light and fluffy.
We definitely don't have to go with my suggestions. I was just thinking of books I haven't read but already own. I know we've already read at least one JCP book. before, so we don't need to do another one yet if no one wants to.

Hey, it's Josh Lanyon Month every month here on the A&Q with Josh Lanyon! ;)

It's not exactly cheap...

I have that one in my to-read list. Girls here in this group have recommended it. :)

Yesm I've seen it on my updates quite a bit lately. Works for me.

Be ready for Manifold's quirky delivery method: You pay your money (in a variety of ways) and wait for your copy to be e-mailed to you. The claim is service within 48 hours; it took about 15 minutes for me today. Amazon has it, but only in paper.

Ah yes. Adobe Digital Editions - perhaps the worst e-format ever invented.
I figured out how to break DRM on Adobe Digital Editions, as I wanted a book that could only be bought that way. I'm damned if I am going to buy a book and not be able to read it on my Kindle. I have decided that U.S. law will come down on my side on this one.

Mmm. Looks good....and Anne? Me like-ee...

I see they're also publishing Death Claims electronically.... I wonder if they're planning to put out any of the other Brandstetter mysteries. At $10 a pop I doubt I'll be buying them all at once, but still, it'd be nice to have them in a text size my ancient, abused eyes can manage.

I definitely would like that.

And I have it already :)

I agree, but there is also another reason for not choosing it: I'm trying to forget it... till the sequel will come out.
That's the only tiny problem of this gripping, excellent book: you are left there wanting...

It's a very good book. *nod* , very inventive and with cool characters.
Is there a date for the sequel?
Butterfly Hunter is a nice read with a very exocit setting (for me). You don't come across Australian Outback every day in your m/m reading. :)

Ditto this. I am so spoiled. I Love my e-reader!
Here in the States, Manifold press eventually releases their books through AllRomanceEbooks.com and Rainbowebooks.
Butterfly Hunter is available thru these outlets, also.

OMG, of course! That is definitely on my to-read list. I could go for that.
Oh, you guys are bringing out too many really good options. But we definitely haven't read anything by Anne yet, and I would love to read it. So...

Butterfly Hunter is available at AllRomance now. I ordered mine through Manifold last year and although the ordering process was more convoluted than what we're used to, it worked fine. Manifold releases its books to AllRomance and Rainbow after awhile, so you can order it at https://www.allromanceebooks.com/prod...
I really enjoyed this book, and also really enjoyed Too Stupid to Live, so if we're passing on Fadeout for now, I'd be happy discussing either choice in February.

Oh goodie! I'll try to remember to come visit tomorrow so I can vote.
no more recs from me. I rather like a lot of what's already been talked about!

I'm sorry to say, but you're too late. But keep that thought in mind. I guess were not done with TC. ;)
Jordan wrote: "Just checking in for the poll, now that it's Tuesday."
Thanks for reminding me, Jordan! RL intruded...

Vote here.
The poll runs from this second till Sunday, Feb 03.
The poll offers choices in random order, results stay hidden until the end and answers are given anonymously.
Happy voting!

Gosh, that was the hardest poll to vote on, I think. But I guess that just means I could be happy with most of those choices if what I picked isn't a universal choice. ;-)

Thank you for the poll, Calathea!"
Close your eyes and pick one.

Seeing so many of you having a hard time to decide I'm really curious to know which of the books will finish in first place.

Yep. I still haven't voted, because I can't make up my mind.

It came down to two for me and even now, I could really go for either one. I ended up picking the book I don't own yet. Interesting choice, for sure, but one that I definitely want to read.
I might read the other choice this month anyway if it doesn't get picked. It's been waiting too long already. lol.
I feel horrible for not getting myself together enough to take part in The Charioteer discussion. This month I'll be too busy writing for the group read -- and I can openly confess it. :-)

Well, no need to feel horrible for that. That would be just silly! Everybody takes part in the discussions they actually have time to take part in. :)

It's just so puzzling to me. One of my most cherished books but I couldn't bring myself to read it again.
Maybe because it is little too cherished? And so I have to be in the right state of mind? Or maybe because I'm instinctively uneasy about it influencing me in the midst of my own writing?
That might be it.
