Bummer. I hate it when I have my mouth all ready for something and it fails to satisfy.

We are going to Nicola's Restaurant tonight! I will gourge on hummus, tabbouleh, falafel and Turkish coffee.::drools::
OMG. I made the BEST shrimp this week. Warm, sauteed shrimp tossed with arugula, capers, and I can't even remember what else. It's in this month's Bon Appetit.
I'm starting with a chickpea and arugula salad. Mince garlic, brown lightly in saucepan with olive oil. Add rice vinegar, kosher salt, and several dashes of cumin. Drain can of chickpeas, add, warm thoroughly. Then you can either pour this mixture over several cups of arugula, causing it to wilt slightly, or throw the arugula into the saucepan, stir for a minute, turn off the heat, which causes it to wilt quite a bit more. Mark Bittman adds sliced red onion, but I don't have any.
The key ingredient here is the rice vinegar. It really makes it.

A slice of marinated roast beef, with steamed green beans, and potato. Slow roasted tomato stuffed with herbs, cottage cheese, and a bit of cheddar.
I'm planning on making pumpkin soup or a potato pie. I could make both, so I have something prepared for tomorrow.I'm going to have to get out of bed and off the computer first.
::packs bags to go to Barb's house::That sounds really great. We should have grilled out but we are having NBLT's instead.
Noodles with butter and parmesan cheese. I think I'm giving myself an ulcer from worrying about my final exam tomorrow.
