I FINALLY have my kitchen back (five week remodel) and it's new and improved! To christen the double oven, I whipped up some 9 inch meringues that I'm going to coat in chocolate and assemble into a cake-like layers filled with homemade chocolate mousse (the new cooktop works too)!I'm taking this creation over to my sister's house for dessert. She's making chicken cordon bleu and roasted potatoes. Can't wait!
For dinner?

Frittata. This is a ready made one, that Mr evie sometimes buys from Aldi. I don't really like it much but it is a quick fix after work.
Oh, I since forgave him all his sins that day, Heiders.

If that popcorn machine is still back there I might enjoy some time behind The Ficus.::ponders how to be sent to The Ficus::
Hey, Heidi, don't be so mean to Larry. Simmer down.

I don't know if I'll make something real, or just continue to graze. I've already had Gouda on crackers. And Tropicana pomegranate blueberry juice, which is not that great. Not worth $4.69. I was craving juice though. What I'm craving now is that really sweet undiluted Welch's grape juice.
This pomegranate blueberry juice, like so many others, has an apple juice base and small amounts of pomegranate and blueberry flavor. I guess if it were real pomegranate blueberry juice, it would cost $15 instead of $4.69.
I go over to the convenience store next to work every so often to get a bottle of Welch's Grape Juice.
No idea, Mr. Amy and I have developed a new MO. He takes something out to thaw, and I have to figure out something to do with it when I get home. He says its the "secret ingredient", like on Iron Chef.
Pretty sure last night's stroganoff wasn't up to Iron Chef standards, but it wasn't gross...

Mr evie did a great job cooking the lamb chops, and the baked vegetables were divine. We had fresh mango for dessert.
Chicken chipotle sausages, baked beans and potato salad. I'm going to pretend it's July. Mr. Amy thawed the sausages yesterday, but I couldn't be assed to cook anything, so ate cereal instead.

Mmmm, must be a Brit thing then. I still have some lingering influences.
Despise Lambchop....Never, ever liked it, even as a little kid.
Couscous with broccoli, roasted red potatoes. For dessert, perhaps chips and salsa, followed by Edy's Mint Brownie ice cream.
Laurin wrote: "Something light, my stomach is upset."Same here. I need to figure out what I can eat that would be light and healthy and easy on an already upset stomach.
Amelia wrote: "Miniture?"Tiny little baby soy dogs wrapped in tiny little corn blankets...so cute and scrumptious
Stomach flu is going around here...really hope I don't get it. :(
Hope you feel better, BW.
