I see.

Stina (stinalee) | 749 comments I FINALLY have my kitchen back (five week remodel) and it's new and improved! To christen the double oven, I whipped up some 9 inch meringues that I'm going to coat in chocolate and assemble into a cake-like layers filled with homemade chocolate mousse (the new cooktop works too)!

I'm taking this creation over to my sister's house for dessert. She's making chicken cordon bleu and roasted potatoes. Can't wait!

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments Frittata. This is a ready made one, that Mr evie sometimes buys from Aldi.

I don't really like it much but it is a quick fix after work.

FICUS, fool.

Oh, I since forgave him all his sins that day, Heiders.

*takes Larry's hand and leads him back out from behind the ficus*

message 2410: by [deleted user] (new)

It was kind of a bad day.

I don't know if I'll make something real, or just continue to graze. I've already had Gouda on crackers. And Tropicana pomegranate blueberry juice, which is not that great. Not worth $4.69. I was craving juice though. What I'm craving now is that really sweet undiluted Welch's grape juice.

message 2416: by [deleted user] (new)

I miss juice.

message 2417: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments Yeah, grape juice. I'd forgotten about until now. We always seem to get apple or orange.

Lobstergirl | 24815 comments Mod
This pomegranate blueberry juice, like so many others, has an apple juice base and small amounts of pomegranate and blueberry flavor. I guess if it were real pomegranate blueberry juice, it would cost $15 instead of $4.69.

message 2419: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I go over to the convenience store next to work every so often to get a bottle of Welch's Grape Juice.

No idea, Mr. Amy and I have developed a new MO. He takes something out to thaw, and I have to figure out something to do with it when I get home. He says its the "secret ingredient", like on Iron Chef.

Pretty sure last night's stroganoff wasn't up to Iron Chef standards, but it wasn't gross...

message 2421: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments I think we will have lamb chops tonight.

Chicken chipotle sausages, baked beans and potato salad. I'm going to pretend it's July. Mr. Amy thawed the sausages yesterday, but I couldn't be assed to cook anything, so ate cereal instead.

Couldn't be assed? Haven't heard that one before.
