What Are You Going to Have for Dinner Tonight?
Mr. Amy picked orange chicken over rice. Threw in some onion, bell pepper and broccoli.
Homemade chicken soup and fresh baked bread at my momma Chelle's house! Yay!!! :)

Homemade is better.
I would like to try that biscuits with sausage gravy.
The closest Bob Evans appears to be in Plainfield, IL....which is, like, 14,000 miles away.

Our biscuits are round, and like a dense bread (or they are sometimes flaky). They aren't sweet. What you call biscuits, we call cookies. Maybe you are thinking cookies with sausage gravy? Actually Larry does eat that, but most Americans think that would be weird.
It's more like a completely non sweet scone smothered in sausage gravy.
More scone-ish. Basically flour, milk or water & some form of lard/butter/shortening.

Cuyahoga Falls, OH, is about 8 hours away, and Casa de Jammies makes the best biscuits & sausage gravy. :)
The white gravy in the sausage sauce looks pukey (IMO). I just looked at a few pictures of it. It was not what I expected . The biscuits looked good.
I hate it, Evie. I hate our American sausages anyway. I LOVE the Brit kind. I expect yours are similar.
Mr Amy loves it though...

Baking Soda, yes. Sorry, I forgot.

The recipe I looked at for the biscuits and sausage gravy, used sausage meat. I thought it would be sausages, perhaps sliced in a brown gravy.
We use sausage mince to make sausage rolls. Not that I've ever made them . I like eating them.
evie, who makes the sausage rolls for you to eat? And the white gravy is just a standard white sauce. It's basically a vehicle for the sausage and some black pepper.LG, the offer's open, but after next Tuesday there won't be any signs to vandalize.

I'm making Quiche Beauvaisienne, and on the side (because I had too much egg/heavy cream mixture), modified French toast (basically a hobo scramble).
Forgot to take anything out to thaw today...we'll have to see. I'm tired, so we may just end up with sausages, mac & peas. Mr. Amy likes that.
I just wanted to share in this thread that I avoid it like the plague because the title pisses me off and ruffles my feathers - the 2nd part, not the first part.
I don't even understand it...
It probably refers to something that happened six months ago, too many people using semicolons or something, but now it makes no sense. I agree, 'tis irritating to look at.
Heidi, as a mod you can change it........!

Oh, but semisphincters you'll tell me all about? Thanks, Felarry!
