I'm making a one-pot dish: rice, green peppers, leek, paneer, hot red spices.

Rotisserie chicken breast, steamed broccoli, Ho-Ho.

I'm actually not sure what exactly is inside of them. I buy them readymade from the meat counter at shoprite. I keep meaning to try making them from scratch, but theirs are good! And not very expensive, either.

message 2115: by [deleted user] (new)

Cereal. Honey is out of town visiting his mom. I can't bring myself to cook for one.

Sally are you feeling ok otherwise? Hope it is just the heat. Could you be expecting another baby?

message 2117: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Back to school jitters, maybe?

message 2118: by [deleted user] (new)

More cereal.

No more babies yet. Just back to school jitters. I even threw up this morning before school like I was getting ready to give a speech before the entire student body.

Hate those kinds of jitters, Sally. Take deep breaths and maybe have a little chamomile tea.

Nah, Phil. I've got some granola, some honey nut cheerios, honey bunches of oats...it's a honey theme.

Cereal ONE MORE TIME; Larry comes home tomorrow at 5:45! *dances around wooting*

P.S. I never liked Lucky Charms as a kid. The charms were okay, but rest of it was pretty gross, like slightly glazed cardboard.

message 2126: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11852 comments My son picks out and eats the charms, leaving a lot of the cardboard behind.

Lobstergirl | 24815 comments Mod
Leftover rice and grilled spicy sausage, fried chicken thigh. Either a banana or a popsicle for dessert.

message 2128: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Stir fry veggies and tofu.

I always picked out the charms, then my mom made me eat the cardboard...

My mother never would have bought Lucky Charms in a million years. If she had we would have thought we won the lottery.

message 2131: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments I think my mom may have bought the no-name (black and white box) Lucky Charms once. We swooned with joy.

message 2132: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, well, I would have loved it if my mom were a bit more engaged. I always wanted a cookie baking mom. Instead I got a Oreo buying mom. Fruit Loops, Oreos and PLENTY of Kool-Aid in front of the TV (baby-sitter).

message 2141: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments I'm cooking a beef pie.

I'll probably also serve steamed carrots, broccoli, and some potatoes.

message 2142: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments I'm making fried rice and rissoles. Mr evie gets a break from kitchen slavery because I always do the cooking while I'm on holidays.

evie (ecie) | 4445 comments evie wrote: "I'm making fried rice and rissoles. Mr evie gets a break from kitchen slavery because I always do the cooking while I'm on holidays."

The rissoles became a meatloaf . It was easier .

Tonight the plan is fish . I'll probably grill it, or pan fry it with pepper, butter, and fresh lemon juice. I'm limited with the vegetables so I will do oven fries and salad on the side.
