Not really (unfortunely!) I traveled a lot as a kid and ate all kinds of things, but my favorite meals were always ate in my grandmother's farmhouse kitchen, so I tend to cook the same way she did (except for the occasional forays into German and Korean)

I do miss Costco's pies as well as missing Costco, in general. We have Sam's Club and BJ's here but they just aren't the same."

Sounds lovely! I'd have to drive 50 miles to get to a pool but now I really want to go swimming!

Phil, I thank you for the lovely offer, although it's 11 hours from my home to Utah (and I'd have to go visit certain family that I do my best to avoid, so it would have to be a covert operation!)

mark monday (majestic-plural) i'm going to dice some seitan, marinate and then flash fry the cubes in a tamarind-rice vinegar-seasame oil, and then make some kind of combo egg-drop/hot sour soup/rice noodle soup to put them in. i also bought some fried onions & this vietnamese pork stuff from an oriental market that i will probably put on top. yum!
