Ooh. I hope it didn't include the meatloaf swimming in grease.
Lobstergirl wrote: "Linda, are you in the country? Your meals have a hearty, rural feel to them."Not really (unfortunely!) I traveled a lot as a kid and ate all kinds of things, but my favorite meals were always ate in my grandmother's farmhouse kitchen, so I tend to cook the same way she did (except for the occasional forays into German and Korean)

I agree!! I really miss their cakes, YUMMY!!!
BBQ steak, potatoes & some corn. We had the pool open for the first swim of the year and enjoyed the day outside.

You betcha! You just have to come to St. George. I'll even take you to Zion National Park for a hike if you'd like.
Don't worry LG, I've been to Zion (and kept all my maps!) I'll get us back :)Phil, I thank you for the lovely offer, although it's 11 hours from my home to Utah (and I'd have to go visit certain family that I do my best to avoid, so it would have to be a covert operation!)

I concur
Probably leftovers since I will be running around to dance for the littlest one and softball practice for the oldest one.
i'm going to dice some seitan, marinate and then flash fry the cubes in a tamarind-rice vinegar-seasame oil, and then make some kind of combo egg-drop/hot sour soup/rice noodle soup to put them in. i also bought some fried onions & this vietnamese pork stuff from an oriental market that i will probably put on top. yum!
We're taking our son's teacher out for a sushi dinner tonight. We wanted to do it last week during "Teacher Appreciation" but he was busy.
Pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, braised onions, and bacon/choc chip/white choc chip/butterscotch chip cookies.
Tonight we are having an "experiment" for dinner. I tossed some beef tips, condensed mushroom soup and a can of mushrooms in the slow cooker last night and we're going to see if it's edible when I get home from work.
Gyros and chips (I'll actually be lucky to be home in time for supper so that could change if I decide to eat out, but really? Who would want to eat out when you could come home to Gyros?)
