Don't forget the edible flowers.
After reading The Blood of Flowers I became so desirous of tasting some Iranian food. I bough chicken breasts and am going to make Pomegranate and Walnut Glazed Chicken. I also have naan bread and hummus. We'll have a spicy rice to go with it and some sliced cucumbers.

It's cold here. I am making a pot of beef vegetable soup. The apartment smells wonderful. The is something so comfortable about soup simmering on the stove.

Breaded chicken breasts simmered with green pepper & onion, smothered in spaghetti sauce and served over pasta.

Cynthia, the recipe calls for pomegranate juice.
The verdict is in. It is definitely a "make again" recipe. We forgot the naan bread and hummus, but I'm full enough without it. I get the left over serving for lunch tomorrow.

The mac & cheese came out great! That's the first time I made it from scratch, and it has to be better than all the chemicals from the commercial versions. The hardest part of the whole thing was figuring out where our store keeps Velveeta. The bulk of the cheese is freshly grated sharp cheddar, but the recipe called for 2oz of Velveeta to help the sauce thicken. I have no idea what Velveeta is made of.
::sings::
There's no single cheese like Velveeta!
Cuz Velveeta is more than one single cheese.
It's Colby, Swiss, and Cheddar,
Blended all togedder,
For a creamy taste that melts with ease.
Velveeta Processed Cheese Spread tastes so fine,
Lots of natural cheeses do the trick every time -
Velveeta really knows how to please.
You know it's great
When they clean their plate -

From memory? For the record, I found it in the cracker aisle, next to the spray-can cheese. I had already given up finding it, then saw my friend Kevin doing merchandising on the Keebler stuff. While talking to him, I noticed the Velveeta. Quite serendipitous.

Pour the mac 'n cheese into a broiler safe casserole dish, sprinkle crumbs on top and broil until browned.
I made it without the topping. I was delicious.
