That looks very good, Janine. I'm having grilled chicken and mozzarella ravioli toasted up in butter and olive oil with shredded romano cheese melted on top. Nice bottle of cheap chardonnay with it.
I'm waiting for my dad to come home before I decide about dinner. I'm hoping we'll go see a movie tonight.
White Castle is amazing! I would eat there more often if it wasn't completely on the other side of town and kinda in the ghetto.
These are actually frozen burgers White Castle from the grocery. (Thawed and cooked before eating.) I wouldn't normally buy them but they were on sale.
I'm disturbed. Those things are disgusting. Do they have any actual food value? Or do they simply occupy space in your stomach so you don't feel hungry?

I had four and I'm hungry again, so I think I'll have the last two.
They have 25% of my required daily saturated fat, and 10% RDA iron. So I'm good to go now.

That 25% refers to the percentage of the daily recommended maximum of saturated fat, not the daily requirement.

There are some in Missouri and Tennessee, that's as far south as they go.

We're having loads of people over for a wine

We had a nice Chicken Adobo (from the Philipeans) with Coconut Rice. I was a little nervous about the cider vinegar (1 1/4 cup) and the black pepper (one tablespoon) in the chicken marinade, but it was very good.
I live in Venice. Turns out that in this area there is a special sausage that is eaten at New Years. My butcher was handing them out as presents right after Christmas. It's called a cotechino (cotta-KEY-no). You boil it for two hours, then serve it with lentils. While I was cooking it it didn't smell all that good. Not rotten, or anything, just not that good. When I gave my wife a taste of it she ran into the bathroom to get it out of her mouth. I thought she was going to puke.
So, I ate some of the cotechino and beans, and she had Cheerios for dinner. Stick with pizza.

I'm cooking marinated chicken with rice. It's my turn to cook because I'm on holidays. Some holiday!
Cynthia wrote: "I hope to make a trip to Venice in April, God and high waters willing."Go with low waters -- it will be more enjoyable.
I will shoot for low water, Phil. I hope April isn't their rainy season. We traveled to Venice a few years ago and it is a magical place. I was surprised by the number of permanent residents--only 50,000 souls. But it is an expensive place to live.
I've moved on to the second course, leftover rice and cauliflower sauteed with arugula and submarine dressing. Sooooo delicious.
