I had a late lunch. Maybe some celery sticks too.

message 670: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments You plan to eat your celery, peanut butter, and beer from a boot? Seems a bit theatrical.

Pardonnez-moi?

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 538 comments In the ER until after midnight last night, only to be told what I already knew. Another lovely round of pancreatitis, so it looks like it's all clear fluids for this old girl for the next couple of days. Shit.

message 684: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Sorry, Angela, that sucks and hurts!

message 685: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11850 comments Ouch!

We had tri-tip with mashed potatoes (for grandpa) and string beans (for me).

He saw the beans and made a disparaging sound, then said, "damn west coast food" as he headed out for a smoke.

I told him west coast food would not include those damn potatoes, and would have tofu in place of the steak.

He had nothing else to say until he sat down to eat, when he said simply (and somewhat gruffly), "butter."

I ignored him. My wife got him some butter.

message 691: by ~Geektastic~ (new)

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments He fought valiantly, but I'm not complaining. It makes the meat more tender.
