"Then tell him to drop the knife!" Penny said between clenched teeth. She didn't care if the person was starving or just wrong in the head. He was a threat to them all.

emma looked at him "excuse me but caould you drop the knife, we arnt going to hurt you." emma told himaveril creeped quietly behind him and grabed his knife out of his hand,"there weponless." averil said

Marita stepped out of the woods and onto the pavement. She had made it to the city. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a dirty yellow jacket over it, blue rain boots, a red bandanna, and had a worn backpack on her back. She stopped there and looked about for a minute, before she began walking into the city.

Marita saw a group of people. She saw a girl with a knife near a boy that looked starved. She saw two dogs, a large bear, and stew. She saw a group of people, one girl stirring the stew, one girl sitting, one girl making something that looked like jerky, and the before mentioned skinny boy and girl with a knife. There were other people about in the group, too. She saw tents and vehicles and camping gear and weapons. She stood there, watching them for a moment.
averil watched the girl she didnt have anyweponds unless she was sick "are you sick?" averil asked her
"No." She said. "Not anymore. I was but I got well from it quite a few weeks ago, and I've washed down my body and cloths and belongings since then."
averil nodded and walked alittle to her and eyed her "have anyweponds."
"No," She said, "Not unless you consider non-weapon items as weapons. Like boots, or a book, or bread, or a spoon."
"Marita Nowak." She answered.
averil nodded "im averil you can stick with me kid if you want." she told her and motioned for her to follow her over to everone else
Marita followed.
averil walked around the boy and over to emma, "this is emma, emma this is marita." she intudsed them and thats penny," averil told marita
"Hi." She said.
Penny watched Marita silently. "You hungry?"
"Yes, definitely. Do you mind if I eat with you? I can trade you some bread for some soup." She said.
emma smiled and looked at the boy ahe grabed his hand and took him to the fire and sat him down on the ground and she sat next to him.averil nodded a greeding to penny

Mc'laughin thrashed around. The image og his mother shooting his father in an instant replay in his mind.
emma looked confused for a minute and then tryed to slowly calm him down.
Marita didn't move for a long moment, surprised and unsure of what to do.
Mc'laughin screamed and started to cry.
"Shhhh..." Marita knelt down next to Emma.
Emma leaned him against her shoothing him "it's ok shhh, no one is going to hurt you." Emma told him over and over again. Then Emma looked up at the girl and frowned looking back at the boy
Mc'laughin opened his eyes and stared at the girl. He glanced at Emma, "Please don't try to give me sympathy. I lost any meaning to live when I killed my mother."
emmas eyes poped alittle when he said he killed his mom and emma eyes snaped to averil."well theres alway a reason to live." she said and looked back at the boy "whats your name?"
Mc'laughin nodded and turned to Emma. "How have you survived so long?"
"my sister averil, shes the one that brought you here. shes kept us alive. how have you?" emma asked him
Marita watched the two and listened in silence.
