He knocked the bread from her hand, then grabbed her hand. Holding it in a tight grip.

Marita held the dagger tightly so he could not get it. She kicked his testicles hard.
He doubled over in pain, releasing her hand.
((Is the man looking in her direction, or does she have a moment when he is not?))

She picked up a pack of supplies and threw it over the bushes, toward Penny and Gwyn. Then she threw another, and another, moving like a high-speed machine. She was careful to watch him and not throw should he look up, in case that should give away Penny and Gwyn's position.
The man slowly straightened back up, and tackled her.
She jabbed him in the gut with her knee, and covered the blade of the dagger with her clenched hand, so that it wouldn't stab anybody.
He wheezed and tried to punch her. However, he was an old man and really wasn't very strong.
She kicked him hard in the gut, trying to push him away.
He stumbled back some, tripping and falling backward.
She picked up the loaf of bread and tossed it to him, but other than that stayed where she was. She wanted him to know she still didn't really want to hurt him.
He managed to get back to his feet, and looked down at the bread. He picked it up and examined it, babbling something in Italian again.
She wished she could speak whatever he was speaking as she stood there, waiting but ready.
He took a bit of it, but just spit it back out. Grimacing at the taste.
She thought to herself, how could he not like this bread yet he eats human beings?

the man looked back at her, and licked his lips. Dropping the bread on the ground and walking towards her.

Marita stepped in front of Gwyn, blocking his gun with her body. She did not want to do anything until the man actually tried to do something lethal. She momentary thought about putting her hand around the end of the gun, but quickly decided that would be too dangerous, if Gwyn had his hand on the trigger. She still held her four weapons: Dagger, rock one, rock two, and rock three.

"He hasn't actually tried to do anything to either of us yet. Just give him a chance." She said and stepped in front of the gun again. She grabbed the tip of the gun with her dagger hand, still holding the dagger firmly, and held it there to prevent him from moving it as best she could. She was standing at and angle, mostly facing the cannibalistic man.

She was silent. "If 'he killed the other one' is enough of a reason to kill him, the whole human race better watch out." Marita said in a slow, low voice.

She picked up the rest of the supplies.
Penny watched them silently, then checked to make sure they had all the supplies before going to Marita. "Do you want to join my group?"
" I think so. Thank you." She said, not as a question, as a statement.

Penny looked at the old man. "The plain is too dry, everything would burn up. We can't do that..."

"We'll have to get out fast. If we travel into the wind we'll have more time." Penny reached into her pocket and pulled out a lighter.

"Wait." Marita said, coming back out. "If we do it carefully, we can control it."

"No, we won't have to leave if we can control it. We can make a Back burn, and water down any trees in the way, and monitor the edges to stamp out any fire that is 'stepping out of line'." Marita said.

"There are people on this land." She said. "And wildfires can burn for days, and eat up huge amounts of land. The wind can change. It could come back to bite us."

"Perhaps you travel faster than I do, but that doesn't mean you can travel faster than a wildfire. Why do you want to take that risk?"
((Haha I live in the US and i had to look that up to know where it was. XD ))
