I actually really liked your blog. I enjoyed how you broke up your reviews. I don't have a blog yet, but I'm working on getting one up and running.
THanks :)If you need any help with your blog let me know. Blogs are fun, you can keep track of what you read and have another way to lead others to your goodreads reviews. :)
I've got a blog (becominganthropologist.blogspot.com), but it's not book-related, so it's probably not what you were going for when you made this thread. My blog is more about my journey through academia (anthropology). I have started reviewing some of the anthropology-related books that I read, though. :o)
I've got a book-review blog: http://readingwhilefemale.blogspot.comand an associated Twitter: @ReadWhileFemale
I've got a blog:http://bethgroundwater.blogspot.com/
I'd love for folks to follow me! If you're looking for mystery-related blogs, there's a great set of links on the right-hand side of my blog. Some of them are hosting me on my virtual book tour, and some of them are mystery reviewers.

I love your blog! And I love the variety in your book collection too. I added you to my blogroll! :)
I just started doing a bookblog, though I have been keeping a personal blog for the last 5 years or so. SO please pardon the amateurish attempts at book reviews.
It's A Wonderful Bookworld
thanks for the add. I'm also a rookie reviewer, but I truly believe those are the best and most honest reviews. Im also adding you. :)

Finally started the blog. I'm hoping to have my first review up tonight or tomorrow. http://booktacularworld.blogspot.com/
It's going to need some work, but hey, it's a beginning!
I'm Chantelle13 on twitter - sometimes books but also random life observances.I added several of you to twitter. :)
Hi Danie - one word of advise with your blog... Take the review stuff out of the header and place under your "about me" section. Once you get more comfortable with your blog, you can create a review page and go into more depth on what your policy actually is.
Great job starting the blog!

Hey guys, I think most of you know where to find me :)
I'm a relentless pusher, aren't I?
You can find my blog here: http://thenextbestbookblog.blogspot.com
And I tweet at: @tnbbc

Lori wrote: "Hi Danie - one word of advise with your blog... Take the review stuff out of the header and place under your "about me" section. Once you get more comfortable with your blog, you can create a revie..."Oh, thanks! I'll definitely do that!
If you need help figuring out how to set up pages or anything, ask. I use blogger... it's pretty easy :)
I'm fairly new at both blogging and book blogging...I'm just getting my feet wet. My blog isn't only about books, but I'm trying to have one book review a week. The books vary between book club picks and books from my to-read pile.http://heysus74.blogspot.com/
I recently decided to use my blog as more of a review blog..mostly books but I will review products and other things as I see fithttp://kraftingkitten.wordpress.com/
I will also talk about the crafts I am working on and random daily discoveries.
Okay, I'm so far behind the curve here. I finally did it though! I created a blog! Woohoo! I went down the list and I added/followed everyone! I think it's great that everyone is doing book blogs and yet there's still so many differences between them all.
Anyways, so here's my blog for the first time (hee hee, kind of excited!)

Thanks Jason! I really like yours too. I think it's great how you had the idea while overseas. Of course, I'm a military spouse, so I'm biased. ;)
Hi Jason and gang!I do both -- my blog isn't really writing-related: it's sort of a testing ground for advance nonsense called The Skwib and I tweet too: @markarayner
I'm now off to check out your blogs! If anyone reviews humor/sf, you may get an email from me!
Hey Mark... I love checking out your blog, and I think you know you already live on my blogroll :)
Thanks Lori -- just out of interest, how often do you visit? I've had to move my blogroll recently, but you're on it too!

So question for all you serious bloggers...How do you get in the habit of writing a review for each book you finish? I keep forgetting to do it, and thus, my blog is pretty empty.
Danie, I sit down and start writing the review as soon as I finish the book so I don't forget it's impact or specific points I want to make.
I do the same thing that Lori does, I usually use a index card as a book mark and write notes on it as I go along just in case I cant write my review right after Im finished. I also don't mark my book as "read" on goodreads until I finish my review. This helps to remind me that I have some reviews to write... Talking about that... I need to go write a review :)
I am a dilettante, and an author myself, so writing reviews of other authors' work is a bid dicey at times. And I believe I mentioned I'm a dilettante. I tend to write a review if there's an opportunity for me to write something funny about the book (that isn't an insult to the book/author), and if I've promised I would review it. Luckily, I have tons of other drivel (some pure, some tainted with meaning) that I can shove up on The Skwib.
Mark wrote: "Thanks Lori -- just out of interest, how often do you visit? I've had to move my blogroll recently, but you're on it too!"Aha! The system works!
Well, this is a scary thread! I'm gonna end up reading more "about" books than reading actual books!! LOL! I'm gonna have to go through and look at all your blogs and follow you...my sad little book blog can be found here: http://shandord.blogspot.com/ I think if I knew more people were reading/following, I may post more but sometimes I forget...plus lets admit it, the reading? the easy part! The reviews? Not so much!! See you at the blogs!
I'm enjoying all the new blogs posted here! I have a blog as well, but I always struggle with new topics. And, when do you guys find time to blog??
Jason "Book Sniper" wrote: "Just followed you Kristi, Love the blog :)"Hey Jason! I owe you an apology. I thought I followed you long ago, but I was just cleaning up the blogs I follow and realized yours wasn't on my list. Fixed it tho. I'm following you now!
My review blog is http://quillsandzebras.wordpress.com/I tend to focus mainly on reviewing indie authors, so you can expect reviews of people you have probably never heard of :-P
edit: oops, and i'm on twitter as @am_harte -- but tend to post more about my writing than reading there... just like i also run http://amharte.com but that's more an author blog ;-)
I never thought about doing what Lori said whe it comes to writing reviews but that sounds like a good idea! I have a tendency of forgetting some of my thoughts about the books I've read xDMy book blog is meshed in with my regular/website blog: http://www.rulethewaves.net/blog/
I also tweet (although again, a mesh of just regular tweets and also updates from my website): torulethewaves
