The Lightkeepers series is really good. Love it!

I won't say what I just read, but I am still recovering from reading a book so bad that I wanted to poke my eyeballs out when I was done. I'm one of those people who HAS to finish a book, no matter how bad it is. So now I need a really good book to make up for it.

Dream

Susan That just happened to me with Netsuke...it was gross!!

message 115: by Kristy (new)

Kristy (riverunbroken) | 31 comments Me too. I usually have to finish a book no matter whether I like it or not. But I take my time doing so. I have about 3 books I started that I didn't care for that I will eventually finish reading. I hardly give up on a book just because of curiousity on how it ends.
I just finished Lady in the Mist by Laurie Alice Eakes, and I give it 4 because I didn't like it as much as a 5, but it was good and I liked the ending. It kept me going at times, but was easier to put down than others I have read.

Once it took me a year to read a book because I could not get into it, but I had to finish it.

Jennifer and Joy, I am so loving that mail order bride twist!! I think what I most enjoy about Laurie Kingery's Brides of Simpson Creek series is how empowered these heroines are. It really takes a lot of guts for these women to stand up and take charge of their destinies like that!
